So... How Serious is Street Harassment?

So people do not know what the difference in, in saying hi, and following her for 5 min? Really.

So now if I walk up to a girl and say hey whats up? Im now threatening her life, her family, and want to kill her then rape her dead body? If women in america think that, they need to move to a country like Iraq, and have something to really complain about.

Maddox left a comment on the video that pretty much hit the nail on the head:

That’s serious.

I still don’t see this sequence:

Walking in street, see attractive lady

“Hi”

Is ignored.

Immediately continues on with his day slightly dejected:

Is harrassment.

Which is what Raz0r is proposing. That’s stupid.

Next time they should use an actually attractive woman. I bet they’d manage to actually have more footage, maybe even find some harassment in it somewhere greater than…walking next to someone for a few minutes (if he even did, since the rest of that video is so questionable it wouldn’t surprise me if she just selected 5 seconds of footage and insisted it was 5 minutes) and a bunch of hellos.

It would be a funny world though if men en masse refused to approach women and pursue them romantically/sexually. If every time women went out guys just completely ignored them, and men wouldn’t do them any special favors or treat them any better than they would another man. I wonder how long the average American woman could last in a world like that.

You are literally the dumbest person on SRK. Literally. You add no value to anything on this site, and even less in life in general.

…so she’s a porn star or a hooker??

Both

You know, on the one side I can understand why this can get mad annoying to women. On the other, we already have a bunch of dudes who have trouble talking to women as is. I’m sorry you got a banging body and face that looks banged up. Some dudes tried to get at you, maybe a couple of them might’ve been stand up guys. I mean, she’ll never know though 'cause all she did was walk around with a shitty attitude.

In this video, it’s not like these dudes are straight up grabbing her T and A, or even making lewd comments for the most part. Being annoyed isn’t the same thing as harassment, it’s being a cry baby, blowing it out of proportion. In that video, basically if you are born a male, you are automatically a danger to women. That’s really what it’s about, SJW bullshit, and guess who created that video? A dude, how ironic.

That’s because a lot of it just comes of as whining. I mean niggas coppin a feel and following girls? Of course thats shitty. But a dude trying start a conversation and speaking normally isn’t “harrasment” in any form.

And @Raz0r true if you talk to someone they aren’t obligated to talk to you, BUT it is rude if you ignore them for no reason especially if they come at you with respect. You can let a person know you don’t want to talk without being rude.

apparently the pr firm that made this vid might be kinda racist?

That girl doesn’t even deserve a second of my time…

Oh how terrible… I’m so disgusted by this morally repugnant behavior…so many of these people had the audacity to actually say “Hello”. Obviously it is top priority that we crack down on this disgusting situation of people speaking to each other.

Lesson learned-- just treat women like they DON’T FUCKING EXIST. Don’t even say hello to them. Let them all be totally ignored forever and see how that feels. This is how it is in a lot of work environments so why not extend that to every day city life as well? Surely that makes for a fun and interesting world…yeah.

Quotes are fucked up on the main site, too, now?

No white neighborhoods? She walked through Port Authority near Times Square. Sure, Port Authority is just one giant 3-block long toilet, but the high rises surrounding it sure as fuck aren’t cheap to live in. I mean, I am not going to sit through ten hours of it just to count how many times specific ethnic groups hit on this woman but even then I don’t know how this would classify as racist.

“Hm, lots of black and Hispanic men being called out for their harassment. This makes our cultures look bad. What can we do? I know! Just say it’s racist.” minority high-fives all around

a woman getting complimented in public by men…
such harassment…

What if the woman doesn’t want to be complimented on? Just because you feel this overwhelming need to share a compliment you’re thinking about doesn’t make it a good idea.

Sounds like raz0r and the woman in the video should just move to urban asia where no one says hi to strangers. Problem solved.

No one–NO ONE–says hi to strangers in New York. If you do, do not expect a hello back. We don’t have time for that shit.

The old Hitchcock movie “The Birds” shows a scene in a diner or something, and friends or strangers in the neighborhood or out of town, saying hi to each other, small talking, being pleasant and respectful.

How alien is a setting like that today, when people walk around with giant headphones and their face planted into their phones, oblivious to their surroundings, or failed actresses desperate for viral fame and donations campaigning against human interaction.

Yes I’m saying an old horror movie about a swarm of angry ass birds that attack children and eat tongues and eyeballs and shit is better off than the paper-skinned anti-social bullcrap that goes on today.

All that time saying hello is time not getting that next crack rock.
