So how does blazblue play in terms of streetfighter?

Blazblue’s an anime game you see.

Like most western fighting game players, I get greatly intimidated by character designs that aren’t dull-looking muscle men in speedos. Fighting game characters shouldn’t be interesting to look at and must be rendered in a style that’s dated and ugly as fuck, just like the engine they’re running on. Did you see that character in Blazblue that looks like some cat girl, but with a really unique take on the archetype? Fuck, I’m scared already. I’m going back to playing SF4, and even that game has weird animu graphics sometimes. At least about 6 characters in that game all have the same moves, so I won’t get confused.

HURR.

Are you trying to come onto me? I’m flattered, but I’m going to have to decline.

you’re not only stupid but delusional too cool

I thought NYC bred better trolls. Anyway, not sure who you are, maybe you’re some top player. Since Final Round 13 is my last tournament, we can setup some type of money match. If you play games as well as you fantasize about my dick, it should be interesting.

Yeah, I played GGXX and I thought it was a flashy piece of high rez ass.

I’d still play vanilla ST over anything ARC Systems does.

I wanna say that everything else aside, Brahn’s definition of “abare” is correct. It’s not the ability to deal damage off of random hits, it’s a playstyle that typically describes someone who attacks with fast/high priority/invincible moves out of a disadvantaged situation (in other words, when they’re not “supposed to”). This is in contrast to a “moral” style, where someone attacks when they have the advantage and defends when they have the disadvantage.

Naturally, someone who can deal a shitload of damage off of a random hit will have more motivation to play this style. But if those random hits aren’t fast or high priority, it isn’t really conducive to abare.

Anyway, carry on.

Blake this is why you should never talk… And Tagar will eat you man

This thread has hit  status.

ANIME

herp derp

ITT: burazuburu wa sugoi kawaii desu ne~~~ ^_________^

what did I just say

It wasn’t because he didn’t know, it’s cause GG players were acting like complete dumbasses for a couple of years. Plus it was a hassle with the different versions in the different regions, yet they still managed to overcome that and provide the game in the years that it was featured. And the GG side tourney only outnumbered two of the official games because that year the attendance was low for those games, which usually pull high numbers, more so than GG ever did. I think it was Tekken and some other game, they had low numbers cause a new version came out in the arcades that wasn’t out on the console, so they decided not to go to the tournament which had the older game. There wasn’t really anything that could have been done about the lack of a console port, but I personally think that the players still should have come out. (By the way, this is the only reason Ryan Hart won, who I frankly think isn’t that great of a player)

Dunno about GG but from my experience so far this is exactly where SF4 fails next to VF5. Strategy/thinking/mindgames are a big thing in VF while in SF4 they seem comparatively watered down.

I’m hoping BB will compare better.

I’ve got to say that the okizeme is much more brutal.

I should roll more. :wonder:

“Blazblue is super cute don’t you think?”

saa…sukoshi.

Taokaka-chan wa daisuki desu…wwwwwwww

shot

Really? It makes sense?

I just spit out some words I hear weeaboos throw around.

well people do say things are “super cute” all the time

Nah sorry man you gon’ get swallowed up by that DARKNESS

This thread is reminding everyone why GG players (or Arc System Works players in general) are never taken seriously: because they respond like total fags even to the most minor of factual criticisms. And if what I said wasn’t true, then they wouldn’t be in this thread right now taking the “lol letz do animay jokes” route in their responses.

I know it’s easy for you to claim “they are ignorant” since you have a hard on for GG, but you’ll just have to put your own worthless opinion aside and look outside the box for a moment. Furthermore, I know you’d feel better assuming that the people here baggin’ on GG have “never played it,” but you’re just kidding yourself. Nobody here that hasn’t played GG would even waste their time with this discussion because they’ve got better shit to do/play.

And I’ve got some more sad news for you: Capcom games are the holy grail, but I wasn’t the one who decided that. I know you didn’t start playing fighting games until like 2000-whatever, but you’ll just have to get over it.

All this post did was make me look better than you as well as anyone associated with you or the games you play.

We are not in Japan. Can’t believe you even went this route.

^
Now this is how you can tell when someone has never played a serious match in Guilty Gear. That shit never happens because people manage to find ways to turtle/space and then make their move before the penalty even gets them.

This issue was destined to go sour the moment a bunch of Americans came in this thread and started referring to eachother as “chan.” As for the issue on general, thank you all for agreeing with my factual opinion.

Calm down Winback-san~

posts without facts arre literal shit you are a literal butt you are an ass pooping on the internet and your poop is words.

I dont’ know if this was mentioned, but, throws during combos don’t prorate, and will do full damage, but only the throw will do full damage, the hits after will still be prorated.
