So how does blazblue play in terms of streetfighter?

BTW at final round 12 had 110 players and at final round 11 they had about 150 ish for guilty gear. Remember Mr.Wizard himself was mistaken about the popularity of Guilty Gear and added it back to EVO. Its sad when the non official GG tourney was bigger then 2 of EVOs main events.

Real talk. FGs are serious business.

the funniest part was he almost lost after that

Meteor can easily be seen, bomb can easily be blocked, candy can easily be eaten by you to gain life. You getting owned by mini Pots/Kys and hammers, bro? Random is not a word I would use to describe “Gear” as you call it, different from super turbo, yes.

you know what is funny, “comic nerds” hating on “anime fags” just a thought that i had

when they are essentially the same

You can button mash in GG? And button mashing with Sol?! Branh’s friend has mastered the pro strats.

I really hope the people who are throwing fits about long combos in this thread don’t turn around and enjoy some MvC2.

Okay maybe mashing is harsh. He obviously doesn’t mash like some 6 year old in the arcade. He’s more or less just throwing out a lot of shit all of the time. When his uses Sol for example, he isn’t mashing. But he’s just doing a lot of moves right after another because he desperately wants to hit something. He doesn’t have a measured way of play. He just goes balls out throwing random moves out all day long. When he uses Sol in this manner, I own him up everytime.

When he use Faust he just throw moves out there all day. The problem is if he throws move out there and happen to hit me, Baiken takes a lot of damage. Yeah at this point after playing him for years, I know how to avoid all of faust shit on reaction, I even use my guard cancels to creatively find better positioning. But seriously, based on what he does and what I do, I should own him up everytime. I’m saying sometimes playing really random nets you better results than it should. He doesn’t know half the stuff I know in Guilty Gear, but somehow he can hit me, even if I’m looking out and defending whatever bullshit he’s trying to throw out there.

This style of play is called abare, it exist in VF as well. I really hope Blaze Blue cuts down on this, because yeah I don’t care what anyone says. Abare is basically getting hit by a lot of bullshit.

it seems that you ingnored one of my previous posts, i know what you mean, but keep in mind that as i said, sometimes for an experienced player, it can be very interesting to fight with one player who plays totally out of the mentality of a fighting game player, i had a friend who was one of the 10 best players of 3s and mvc2 here in my country (he died), and when we played he always beated me like 14 of 20 in 3s, the funny part was what when he played against a friedn who play totally casually 3s he had more oportunities to beat him than me cuz he played totally random, this occurs in every game, like i said, i had firends that never played sf4 before, they were mashing moves and hitting buttons randomly and they pull out some combos (some of them were good combos i have to say) that i was wtf, this random bullshit can happen in any game

What

Id skeet on everyone in here.

but you have a girlfriend…rep

Buy to just try it and do some alpha counters, blow outs, and just defends, then after EVO quit playing it along with SF4, then go back to real games like KOF 98 UM

stop posting forever

There have been a few comparisons here of BB to the Vs. series, so I was wondering if BB plays well with a Happ stick or is a Jap stick generally preferred?

Japanese sticks are much better, in my opinion. The short throws allow for more precision in advanced motions. For example…

I-No in Guilty Gear would force you to do constant weird motions such as uf, 360 within 15 frames of an attack hitting to maximize your effectiveness. So, American sticks tire your wrist out, while Japanese sticks make it easy.

Like what the fuck is in this post? It’s like you were like, ok time to pick random words out of a hat and try to make sentences.

Shut up. lol.

I’m not sure exactly where I wasn’t clear. It’s clear I want to defend stuff but somehow can’t simply because my opponent is just randomly doing moves. If this is somehow effective, then from what I understand this is Abare. As opposed to Moral play. But this is SRK so everyone skims post and hurry up and hit the reply button so they can look cool with their insults. Kinda how Koogy read my post and summed me up as being a masher, when I clearly said I play against a masher.

Anyway, I’ve been playing this style of Faust for years. I even played some better Faust players at Final Round and did better against them than I did against my friend, who can’t seem to not sit still and not hit buttons. So I can only assume going random on occasion can be helpful in certain matchups in GG. But then again I don’t know GG matchup chart like some others do.

Yeah, I find I have more of an issue playing against people who play with no strategy. You find yourself getting hit by a lot of nonsense, because they are generally taking less risk, because they don’t understand the risk attached to it. Out of acts of desperate they will generally throw shit out there that probably more skilled players won’t because more skilled players are trying to reduce risk. Then again I hate having to play against this, because it’s generally annoying. Back when I use to attend our arcade before it closed down, and someone would come on a Marvel machine and mash, I would get annoyed. Not because it was hard to beat, but because I’m not sure what I’m playing against, because they don’t even know what they’re doing. I generally tried to end those matches as soon as possible, because it’s just too irritating. I rather get fucked up bad by someone who really know what they’re doing, than get easy mode wins with someone mashing all day long.

Thanks

i hope you suck one hundred dicks and choke on each one of them
