People were told of a 5th character that’s new to the series. What Capcom did equates to Mcdonalds hyping up a new item on the menu, and it’s just a Big Mac with fish patties and tartar sauce.
Well for me personally, I don’t have a main character in SF4 at the moment. I’ve had a few characters I was playing and some I was trying out, but none of them really clicked with me. Since there isn’t anyone in the cast that I enjoy playing as, I had to look at the new characters. Elena,Poison,Rolento and Hugo all characters that I don’t care about. This leaves us with the 5th, and it’s Decapre whose play style is not something I want (charge, rushdown). So for me whether or not i buy Ultra was dependent on if the 5th was someone KI’d want to play as. It’s not so I’m not gonna buy the game.
There’s also the extra disappointment in Capcom’s design approach to her. Especially since the other 4 were ported from SFxT. If they can port from xT, thatt should have theoretically opened up a whole plethora of new character options. Obviously the can’t use the Tekken cast as is, but I don’t see why they couldn’t use the Wireframes as a base for an entirely new character based off of a Tekken character. The only major art assets needed for something like that would be a new texture. which they technically needed even with Decapre

It’s because Cammy is OP in SF4. If they made shadow lady in 3s, people would be mad. Well, in that era they would say “wow new shit thank you!” but you get the idea.
We’re getting Edition mode, 3v3 (a mode which has serious potential in a game with as large a roster as this one) and a bunch of other stuff. Most characters are getting better. The extremely dumb shit is getting nerfed.
Considering how many hours I’ve put into the various versions of SF4, in total I’d have spent 120 dollars across all the versions. You know what? Fucking cheap compared to playing M:TG; a game in which I’ve spent 120 on a box of product that will come nowhere near providing the same amount of hours SF4 has. So fuck it. Stop crying you bunch of fucking wankers.
You may be mad at Decapre but all in all, its damn well worth the money.
Pretty much this, capcom themselves said 5 new characters. People are ready had hate for evil ryu and oni when they were brought out, what would make them think a other clone would not get hate? The logic of some people in this thread is ridiculous.

agreed its a small amount that have voted overall, but still it shows a trend. i just dont get why people are being so vocal like luhawk demanding she be removed. at this point we all know thats not going to happen.
i guess too its like alanedick, who happily calls out all the people that hate her, but discounts those that like the new character.

and why do you like a ver of cammy with a mask and blades? I dont see anything interesting about her. It would be like if blanka had duel katans and a mask and gave him a different name. All she looks like is a DLC costume for cammy
