The title of the thread is universal, the first post doesn’t even address anyone selectively trolling Skullgirls, and I’ve already mentioned that the trolling is not exclusive to Skullgirls anymore.

The front page was NOT shit when it was linked to Facebook, and the trolling was not this bad when the forum accounts were linked either. I would like to think that SRK’s front page does not want to be represented by such a thing so I’m making a point to show that.

One of said individuals actually managed to post in this thread only to banned and now he’s on an entirely different name ruining a Soul Calibur thread.

SRK illuminati wants to get more people looking at the site for news and stuff, right? If some of the first things visiting people see are front page comments by retards, doesn’t that counteract and hurt the site?

Did you notice that the Skullgirls thread has a moderator openly looking it over daily? Did you notice it was that at some points it was actually the same guy fucking up the main page? Did you notice that the trolling is not exclusive to Skullgirls threads anymore?
Disqus isn’t the problem per se, it’s that Disqus is a different system than the established user database on the forums, which as I recall the front page comments used to use.
You say that like that will actually solve the problem. Ignoring them helps a little but all it takes is one person to takethe bait or just one dedicated asshole to totally fuck up what could be interesting discussion. Who gives two fucks if the front page comment section sucked more, less, or just the same. If options are around to improve things and actually foster intelligent discussion why the fuck not.
I write software, though, so I’m probably a little more logical as regards viable implementations. Even mail back to the article’s OP saying “hey new poster: click here to Approve, click here to Disapprove, click here to suggest Banning (and also disregard/disallow further comments from this account)”. That way you don’t have to worry about a couple central FP mods if you don’t want to.
It’s not rocket science. If I have guys pissing in my living room on the carpets, I’m’a probably wanna clean that up before I invite my girlfriend over. I might not care about SkullGirls or SCV or KOF, but it behooves us to make the place semi-presentable before the next generation comes by to check us out.

You seem to be thinking that you and you alone are the only type of person that views the frontpage. Their are a ton of people that view the front page that unfortunatley let themselves get abited and collapse and flagging can only do so much using the current system. I personally just collapse and rport whatever I see, and fuck you should be butthurt to that it is so damn hard to have a interesting discussion without getting drowned out by so many retards.
Honestly, I thought Disqus invited even more front page troll comments since you’re not tied to your SRK forum account anymore. If you wanted to indulge in trolling, you could simply make a “dummy” account on Twitter, Facebook, etc. and get away with it most of the time since it’s not tied to your forum account, unless the admins and/or mods want to get cracking on getting the trolls, they could track to see if the IP of the troll account matches with anybody on the forums if possible. (I don’t really know how it works so excuse how stupid this post may sound lol)
