Let’s all calm down and try to look at this objectively. Obviously all of these trolls are only appearing for a specific reason. Now is that reason mostly because of the content and art-direction of the game, or is it because of the fanbase of the game?
Maybe this wouldn’t happen had it not been for the fact that the only people excited for or overhyping this game (with little basis/knowledge on gameplay) consist of anime-loving, seldom-competitive suspected hentai perverts with big-tittied little anime girls in their avatars and shit. Doesn’t really offset the stereotype that this game has been plagued with from day 1, now does it? Actually, scratch stereotype, it’s been confirmed at this point what kind of people are giving this game too much attention. I mean this game already has the biggest (adult) fan-art following in fighting game history for something that hasn’t even been released yet. I guess people would rather oogle the artwork and characters than actually play it for fighting-game related reasons, so that right there makes it an easy target. I don’t see how you could disagree with that fact or try to avoid the issue by using the repeated defense of “the only reason people don’t like it is because it’s not a Capcom game.” Yeah, okay. Keep milking that excuse for the 12 year olds that still buy into that.
Try sticking to focusing on gameplay next time and not making yourselves such obvious targets. That’s why this game won’t get past fanboy status, like DoA, Arcana Heart, Melty Blood and all of those other emulated doujin fighters that look 99% similar.

This reminds me of NEC when I saw some fat, boil-faced white dude watching his buddy (also a white dude) in a Melty Blood match and he was cheering him on by screaming “COME ON, SENPAI! The front page is more than just the front page. It’s the first impression most new visitors will have of SRK.
When they see what it currently is… it’s not very inviting. Hard to grow a flock when you do nothing about the wolves.

Not only did I pay full price for KOF12 on day 1, I also bought Cross Edge on day 1 simply because it had Darkstalkers characters.
Thought process behind KOF12 - I thought it would be good. At least they were able to use my money to make KOF13.
Thought process behind Cross Edge - I thought if a game featuring Darkstalkers characters got good sales, we might actually see a real Darkstalkers game. I’m not naive, I know that the likelihood of that happening is practically zero, but I will take any chance I can get, no matter how slim.
It’s WINBACK, of course it’s going to be hilarious. He’s the original troll, and he’s still the best.
That’s why it’s 20 bucks instead of 50 or 60, duh.
