This isn’t exactly true mostly due to the biases inherent to the research on sexual assault. Female rapist are rarely reported let alone convicted and in the few cases they are it’s usually a point of controversy and debate. Male victims often don’t perceive themselves as victims either so they are far more likely to underreport…hell the current legal definition of rape doesn’t even technically recognize male victims. Around 40% of sexual abuse on male children is done by women and in correctional youth facilities it was found that something like 90% of the abuse done on male youth was perpetrated by female staff members. In spite of this though the coverage and literature on female rapist is still largely ignored and swept under the rug…I mean just look at most major news outlets that cover female rapist and note how they rarely refer to the sexual activity as rape but instead"affair"or"sex." It therefore doesn’t surprise me when people say it’s almost always men doing the assaulting given how that’s the only narrative we ever hear. It’s quite ironic too considering women are actually the majority of child abusers and rapist generally tend to suffer from child abuse…
It might help if they were equally as convicted and forced to register as sex offenders…just a thought but male rapist don’t usually get to avoid such complications with declarations of marriage and pregnancy like female rapist do.

It’s clear there is a strong bent to sympathize and rationalize female pedophiles and in some cases even relinquishing the legal burdens…I therefore don’t exactly see what side your arguing for here. These women commit a crime and are being sentenced with extreme leniency in relation to their male counterparts and instead of saying"yes they should receive the same jail time"your here with every roundabout explanation to excuse this.

dude, judges and juries decide sentencing, and there is the problem you dudes keep ignoring. if people in general have a prejudice towards giving women lighter sentencing, which they obviously do, then this shit happens, no matter how things should or shouldn’t be.
just like when rich executives pay minor fines and go to resort prisons for defrauding people of millions of dollars. it shouldn’t be that way, but judges and juries look more favorably on the white collar criminal than a drug dealer.
I’m just saying it’s important to determinate the penalty how much damage they did to the victim.
In this kid’s case, doesn’t seem that he was hurt much as he had been violently raped or emotionally manipulated to the point of dependence.
That’s why I kind of agree with the 2 years prison penalty. It’s not like she has ruined this kid’s life or dealt some kind of irreversible corporal or psychological damage.
I’m just sayin. I’m not saying ignore due process of course, but there should be a baseline minimum sentence for this that ignores your genitals.

Attempted murder should be sentenced the same as murder, because it was the intention of the person to murder, so it’s good that the person survived, but for the people who tried to murder it is just the same thing.
This is pretty much impossible in America (and most countries) because of legislatures. If you actually do anything in psychology related to pedophilia then they instantly pull your government funding. The government has a very carefully manicured preconception about pedophiles, if you do anything to help the victims of pedophilia then you’ll offend the government.

It’s the intention of the person to rape. It’s good if the victim didn’t suffer any long-standing trauma, but for the people who are traumatized by rape, it is just the same thing.
It depends on how the “statutory rape with consent by the victim” is done.
There’s a reason for statutory rape being classified different than as rape, that’s because the “victim” gives consent, it’s very far from violence, which is mostly what creates the trauma. Also the girl wasn’t an adult yet when she had sex with the kid.
In this particular case the kid seems like it’s not traumatized or anything, there was no emotional manipulation or anything, kid’s not going to have many issues, it looks like. So, I agree with the 2 years sentence.

Also, I take back what I said about the offender given the additional pictures that Mancub posted. She’s actually a fair bit uglier than she looked in the smoking picture, which is odd since I loathe smokers/smoking. Not that shallow things like physical beauty should matter for something like this, but it so clearly does interfere with “justice”–not like that exists–just like how race, sex, gender, social status, sexuality and other aspects do as well despite all protestations otherwise.
Don’t even get me started on how the whole “innocent until proven guilty” is pretty much always “guilty until proven innocent” in most cases too, especially cases such as this normally, where this woman’s supporters–ugh–wouldn’t be making any excuses for any type of man.

Fun Fact. Based on the statistics in this particular case its actually mutual. Both the young men and women did not want to have sex. And although the rate amongst the older women was higher, the percentage of young males who were uninterested in sex was higher than the equivalent aged females. So what you’re saying isn’t entirely the best example but the older females within japan is a better example.
