I don’t think any of this stuff is gonna hurt him as a char. I mean why wouldn’t you go into million stab before cancelling? You want that extra damage. Gun super losing is meh. Again how is that going to effect anything. Same with Dance Macabre not cancelling into anything. Scratch off one move is useless more or less and we already knew around half his stuff would be meh anyways. That’s fine as I already see about half his stuff as useful and about 5 moves as amazing which is more then alot of the cast can claim.
They were pretty apparent to me after my first match, but it didn’t really affect me too much. You just have to be alittle more careful with dante, and make fewer mistakes to do just as well with him.

Luvcheez, does Dante’s low health seem even justified? it’s not like he has anything above average in terms of damage output. Also, has it been lowered ‘even further’ from the CES build that Marn was using, or are you saying it’s been lowered since you last used Dante (which was the build before the 30 character build).
If it’s been nerfed lower than the CES-secret event build, than Dante’s has abysmal level of health.

I’ve actually been wondering why you use Morrigan instead of Ammy for the meter-buffing, since Ammy DHCs with your team easier than Morrigan does. Thoughts?

his health is the same as the version from the las vegas tournament, since it was the same build. It’s lower compared to the amount of health he had in the TGS build. You definitely have to play smarter with dante now, but his health is not super low or anything. I’m pretty sure he has more defense or takes less damage in DT mode. It makes you want to use DT more just to ensure you don’t take an even bigger beating than you would of if you get hit.

I use morrigan because I know more about morrigan than ammy, and I’m better with morrigan right now than ammy.

Yes sir, Air Dash and double jump. Dante can even air dash cancel air normals, a la Magneto.

True, Dante is going to be spammed a lot online. I’m gonna be so discouraged if I get hatemail for using Dante. I stopped playing Vanilla SFIV for like a week when some guy I beat called me a “Turtling dick”.

You shouldn’t get discouraged though since 80% of those who use Dante won’t even be able to unlock even half of his potential. Even though I’m not going to really use him much(probably only as a combo extender for Morrigan and Sent), I wanna see how and if you guys can make a use for all of his special moves.

It could also be possible to use an assist to extend that fast fly combo as well. Although the only one I can think of that would do that belongs to Dante himself, lol.
