Dante colors as I remember them
Regular, Gray Cammo (looks cool), White coat with Light Blue hair (I don’t get it…) and I can’t remember the other one.
Last one would probably be the blond hair black coat one we have already seen.
Eh, I’ll still be rocking default Dante. Everything else would just seem weird, lol. (Unless its more DMC2 Diesel, I guess)
No Vergil colour? How…interesting… cough possible dlc cough
Yes, blond hair+ black coat, that’s it.
Also, Wesker has the Vergil (Virgil?) color.
Oh, really? That actually makes alot of sense, thanks.
Hell Yea? Tai4 hao4 le! Sugoi.
Dante ga suki !
??? Dante !
Care to explain
You mean languages or Why I like Dante alot?
Actually i figures it out nvm
Yep it’s Vergil.
Nice to see Dante players adding the stinger to extend their combos and blockstrings:

Hmm… I guess Stinger doesn’t wallbounce anymore. I remember wallbounce during the E3 build (which feels like forever ago).
It does, but it only wall bounces airborne opponents. You can actually follow up his killer bee with wild stomp into stinger in the corner for a wall bounce and a follow up combo if you want. if you hit a grounded opponent with his jumping E, you can also OTG them with wild stomp into stinger for a free wall bounce. I haven’t tried it yet, but I think outside of the corner you can follow up his stinger wall bounce with his teleport and re-launch them before they hit the ground. It looks like there should be plenty of time to teleport and follow up with his launcher.
It should look something like:
ground series, launch, j.b, j.c, killerbee, wildstomp, (I think it’s done by mashing df+c) into stinger, into teleport, re-launch, j.c, sky dance, super
if your opponent is in the corner, you can do:
ground series, launch, j.b, j.c, killerbee, wild stomp, stinger, re-launch, j.c, sky dance, reverb shock, fireworks, super, KFC, super (You might be able to fit in jet stream into fireworks after KFC, but the hit-stun scaling might cause them to fall out of it before the super.) I believe that should be a kill combo, as well. at least against low health characters.
Nice! How is the stinger, or rather the million stab, on block? I know you can cancel into exchange launch or a something more safe if it’s blocked, but how punishable is it if you just let Dante throw out the final stab?
so…no 8way dash on his dt flight mode?
he actually has 2 versions of the million stab. The version that you see canceled from stinger, and d.c is also considered million stab. I’m not too sure about the differences between them, but I would assume the last hit of the million stab from stinger would be safe if it was advance guarded, and not safe if it wasn’t. In general though, dante has a decent amount recovery time after the last hit of million stab. That’s why I never cancel into it unless I’m sure I hit them. Dante’s launcher is also not safe, unless they advance guard it. If i use his launcher on block, I always cover it with an assist. I never tested his flight mode, but I know that he can dash straight ahead during it, I just don’t know about an 8 way dash.
Oh snap! Luvcheez! I saw your youtube vids, you have a great Dante! The way you play him makes it seem you’re a DMC fan first and a Dante-MVC3 fan second. Not sure, but you like to vary up your OTG’s unlike some other Dante players out there.
I wanted to ask you, what are Dante’s weaknesses considering he seems to have so many strenghts. And how severe are his weaknesses?
Also, are you getting MVC3 on 360 or PS3? I’m trying to build a consensus, since I have both consoles. I think netcode and better online play is the most important aspect, whilst available opponents being second.
I just love how Dante has so many setups into Hyper
Yes, I am a DMC player. I’ve been playing DMC since the first one. In the TGS build, he doesn’t seem to have many weaknesses, apart from his lower than average health, and most likely a lack of an 8 way air dash. For a rushdown character, Dante’s keepaway is pretty decent, though characters like Deadpool clearly outclass him in that area. Dante and Deadpool have a lot of synergy together, it’s as if they were meant to be ran together. Dante is for when you want to play a heavy rushdown game with some keepaway, then switch in Deadpool to change strategies and play a heavy keepaway game with some rushdown thrown in. Dante’s best tool is his 5.A, which is like a mix of Bang’s 5.A from BBCS, and karas’ 2.A from TvC. It’s a great poking tool that can be used as an anti-air normal with great range, speed and priority. To answer your other question, I’ll be picking up the Special Edition of the game for PS3.
