I know some people can manage it, but I’ve never understood how if you’re broke you can get women. Working out, good clothing, good food, drinks, your own place, all that stuff costs money. Now you don’t really need your own place, I guess you can always use motels/hotels (I prefer this just because I don’t like anyone knowing where I live, just in case), but that costs money too.
The last part of what you wrote is also very true. People also say they have women chasing them all the time, but I’ve never had that happen to me either. The most a woman will do is make it clear that she is available and you “can” pursue her. That’s stupid though, because you should always make that decision and pursue no matter what the girl thinks.
I think in Japan they actually have a day where women are supposed to do things for men, ask them out and stuff. I remember reading how Japanese females hated that. I think it was called White Day or something.
I don’t remember if I wrote this in this thread or not, but I still chalk it up to a very poor economy. Give it some more time, and societal expectations either drop down or the economy recovers.
The statistics show now that most men have crappy jobs and more men rely on women to be the primary breadwinners. So that means a lot of men and women are beginning to accept that arrangement.
That article briefly mentions sex but it’s mostly a whine session that men aren’t marrying woman and people aren’t having kids. Marriage and kids are expensive. Divorce laws are very anti-male in Japan just like in the US. It uses sex and relationships interchangeably for some reason, probably because if the writer just came out and wrote: “I don’t like when people have sex but don’t get married and have kids, so therefore everyone must get married” most of SRK would shit all over that writer.
Marriage is archaic and doesn’t work anymore for a lot of people. Even dating, a lot of people have no interest in it. On this site there are a few guys that just hook up and won’t have relationships with women. Rather than getting mad that some people choose that lifestyle and can pull it off, people need to just do what they want and not worry about everyone else. We have freedom now, freedom to choose our own sex lives, freedom to choose whether or not we get married or have kids. It’s going to be awfully hard to just try and force people to not have those freedoms anymore.

I’ve said it for years: all you need is confidence. I’ve slept with goddamn models on my confidence alone and I’m not that great looking a guy.
