Skullgirls~

thats regular bursts, you don’t get bursts whenever in this game, they aren’t a resource

in this game they’re an anti infinite precaution, and as such there’s really no good reason to make them punishable or risky since they only occur when someone is doing something they shouldn’t be

Yeah I know that, I thought I just remember earlier talk about infinite prevention being punishable to make attempting a loop still viable if you can try to bait it out, or somesuch.

Setting the Record Straight ? Reverge Labs

Ok, that “not sprites” thing was really confusing me; it makes far more sense now.

The lighting effects are beyond refreshing, I’m looking forward to this for sure.

loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool

<3

I wonder how this would be received in Japan, Europe? Is it limited ONLY for Americans to download?

Everything I see about this title gets me hyped.

I have a good feeling this will be a hit, and can’t wait to get my hands on it.

And on top of that, I can rest assured that if no one in my area picks it up, I’ll have boundless amounts of solid online play to level me up, without fearing that lag will totally kill my play.

I’m hoping not. I’d like to see this become an international hit, and if it’s a good title, the players overseas with consoles will be into it I’m sure.

I’m not so sure. This game is going to have a hard enough time breaking through bias here in the US. I figure it’d be harder in other markets.

yea because japan hates that fucking all girl fighting game bullshit

LOL

How many fighting games, or games of any kind for that matter, that are not made in Japan are actually popular over there?

Fair point, but its not impossible. Let’s not forget, HD Remix was never released in Japan and has still gained somewhat of a following over there. Granted, its a fork of ST, but Japanese players could just go to A-cho and play ST and be content, yet some are still playing HDR.

I think if its well developed, and is fun, deep, and interesting, there is a chance Japan will pick it up. Especially if the demo catches the eye of one of the touring tournament players from Japan, that alone could generate interest via word of mouth.

Signed,
Everybody

that said, the only fighting game from America I can think of is MK and I’m not surprised the Japanese don’t like that haha

If it has GGPO netcode it will truly open up for some good international matches as well, not perfect but good. Really looking forward to Skullgirls.

PAX023: Skull Girls Interview | Evil Avatar’s Shotgun Podcast

Podcast interview-y thing.

Is that the same one that was on the front page or a different one?

I didn’t check the front page because I’m an idiot, FUCK!

EDIT: Yes

Hopefully this will settle that.
