It’s a tad more complicated that that. For some commenters, it’s because the game is “trying to be Japanese.” For others, it’s because, I shit you not I saw this in a Skullgirls vid YT comment, “it’s dumb that a grappler can run.”
I think he was trying to be sarcastically funny… at least with me, I chuckled a bit upon reading his post. :lol:
And the “it’s dumb that a grappler can run” hate comment is one I’ve been hearing recently and I can understand where they’re coming from kind of.
I think part of it is that Youtube just doesn’t do the game justice, animation-wise. I hear “it looks like a flash game” comments from time to time, and it’s like “ahhhhhhhhhhggh.”
you know what its more funny, that the japanese on 2chan find it very americanish 
as for a grappler being capable of running, i assume that the person who posted it never played a kof 
, or for the matters the only grapplers that they know are zanguief and thawk
Best thing about that is that some JP people are all like “oh hey look it’s a western cartoon game.”
If you were born in 1997 you’re as old at the Nintendo 64. For your entire life 2D games have been either ancient and boring or free and made with flash. You’re 14, you have a low attention span, and you have a youtube account. BOOM.

I’d agree with this if it wasn’t for the fact that I myself am fourteen and I’m actually on the Skullgirls team. So I have to say that this post is pretty unfair to anyone who isn’t in their twenties or older, just because you’re young doesn’t mean you aren’t mature. And just because you weren’t around when the games were out doesn’t mean that you don’t still like them, Mike Z just got me into MvC2 and now I’m thinking of getting 3rd Strike: Online Edition, don’t be so quick to judge people.
He was probably making a blatantly obvious generalization as a joke, try to take 99% of “jokes” and “insults” you read on the internet with a grain of salt.

So uh, just kinda idly curious, but has anyone ever asked if the penguin on top of Peacocks steamroller will go “WRRRRYYYYY” yet? I was watching it earlier and still a little disillusioned at how quiet it is.
It’s not a penguin, it’s a mini-peacock named Avery!
It does go “WRYYYYYYYY” but there is no footage recorded of that yet. (It might not even be finished yet)
