Since a PC release has been officially confirmed can we get a title change?
I can’t wait for the PC version to come out…between this and SFxT I will finally master x86 ASM
They really should try to communicate more on this version. Except for big fighting game fan, not a lot PC gamers know what is skullgirls, and why should they ? No PC centric sites have really spoken about it. Well, until yesterday anyway, but just announce that it will come on PC rarely convince anybody.
What’s the difference between GameFly, EA’s Origin and even Steam?
edit:
Gamefly - paid monthly subscription - no thanks
EA Origin - spyware and EA’s general lack of service - no thanks
Steam - I guess I can live with Steam DRM
Hum I think Valve only do hat promos with major publishers, I read in the Steam forums that another Indie game was declined to have that
Steam is excellent.
I think, after some time, maybe two years later if they stop updating Skullgirls and there is no more sales, It will be awesome to have a DRM Free version in an Indie Bundle.
Actually that might work… if all the fans move on to Skullgirls: Continuum Shift.

"We hope to have PS3/PC cross-platform play implemented a few months after the PC version is released… so definitely not GFWL."
The problem with that is that the item is normally made by the studio that owns the game being released. Unless Mike Z and co learn 3D modelling really fast I don’t think it’s feasible.
TF2 has done promotions for indie games, as both SpaceChem and Trine 2 have both had promos, and neither of them are associated with a major publisher. The Trine 2 promo was just last November.
It is a little known fact that both the Total War Shogun items as well as the Deus Ex items were both made by this one modeler Larolaro. If I remember correctly, Larolaro was hired primarily because he won the polycount contest; people hired to make TF2 items just because he had already made TF2 items. Not to mention, there are a fair amount ofmodelers dedicated to making stuff for Team Fortress 2. Just about anyone who has submitted to the workshop has dedicated a fair amount of time for the remote possibility that they may be accepted into the TF2 item system.
So, I’m pretty sure that if Reverge asked a good modeler to make them TF2 items and then submitted the items to TF2 asking for a promotion, Valve would would be sure to accept.
I remember seeing some really really good 3D models of the Skullgirls cast a while back.
Reverge should commission that guy to model the items if they don’t already have someone who can do it.
Like you said last indie game was Trine 2 five months and that is enough time for Valve to decide “No, no more Indie promos” I guess its because to avoid a lot of indie games requesting that , because its not that hard creating a hat for TF2

I’m so HYPE!!!
So, will the Steam version of Skullgirls support Steamworks ? I honestly hope it does, because this would allow Reverge to hold free weekends, which is an AMAZING way to promote sales.
Maybe, I bet the Steam version will have steamworks achievements but maybe the game will not be Steamworks full, like LA NOIRE for example.
I wonder if, since the AI is scripted in Lua, it would be possible to create custom AIs for the PC version.
I wonder if they can make the music files of the game moddable, I mean “stage1.mp3” and you can change that for another mp3 of your own, I love the OST but I do this in a lot of games.
Going out on Origin and not on GoG. What a sad story.
It not showing up on GoG probably means the game will use some form of DRM.
