I expect
"Is it done yet?"
Good to know.
Nice to hear, Skullgirls looks like an interesting game. Cause of its price not being 50 or 60 bucks like other fighting games, I think a lot of people will see it on Steam and purchase it. It has gotten a ton of critical acclaim after all, and it looks good. The thing bout steam, you buy games you normally wouldn’t…I just saw Portal/Portal 2 package around christmas for like $5? I don’t even like FPS, but since it was so critically acclaimed…why not? I think at 15 bucks Skullgirls will have a lot of sales for PC, maybe it will rejuvenate the franchise.
so we can expect a pc port by the end of the year? yeah sounds great…
and I thought they were working on the pc version all along.
seems like the disappointing year 2012 continues for the pc users.
Did you miss the part where Mike was working on both patches for free? Or how he was the only one working on the patch?
SIX MONTHS, FOR FREE, BY HIMSELF.
God damn you people.
Even if they started now, a port doesn’t take too much time, the problem is the payment if they need to hire people to test the game in different specs and with the publishers, that I was said in other thread that even that kind of things take more time than convert the game to PC.
So if things go well I think the port will come in April or May.
Thank you for repeating exactly what Mike said on the stream.
And a port doesn’t take too much time? What was your last port?
Go ahead, tell me.
When did they said this?
nope, I didn’t. it doesn’t change the circumstance though that it seemed that the pc port was already in development since the announcement of it.
nowhere. it’s just my estimate based on past experiences regarding fighting games on the pc.
The patch was priority. Mike was the only one working on it. THUS… don’t exactly know how you could’ve expected some work actually being done on the PC port since its announcement.
well, now of course we know it better with this new statement.
Well, we don’t know how much work was done on the PC port before all this bs happened. So, not knowing that and the number of people that are in negotiations for resuming work on the PC port, and if they still hope to achieve cross-platform support with PS3. A release date is anyone’s guess.
I’m hoping mid-2013 but who knows. When it comes out and it’s a solid release and not a crippled console port (ala Dark Souls) I will buy 4 copies and give away 3.
I don’t think cross platform is happening. I believe the reasoning was that I think they wanted to use Steam but the PS3 version doesn’t have Steamworks like Portal 2 did… or something?
I didnt like that he said START, there wasnt some progress done by one guy working in the pc port? But good to know that they are giving the pc port more focus now…cant wait for May release.
I dont do ports but I saw a lot or ports and the time they required, mostly it is about three months, a port isn’t a hard thing to do, afterall the 360 is almost a PC.
That can take more time of course but I dont believe the port will be out at the end of the year, only if they had other problems like the patch last year.
Do you really want to leave a statement like that out there when you just said you’ve never worked on a port?
Its possible for a fast port? Yes but look at Sonic CD 2011 PC for example, you can only use x-box controller or keyboard, and its all blurry, there is no option for others filters or no filter after all, there is no much to configure.
At least I want a bigger support for joysticks than X-Input devices, give others controllers some love…
You don’t do shit, you just selfishly talk out of your ass like it actually amounts to anything.
Fuck you.
