If I ever played ST, I’d play Fei. Dunno why. I guess Chicken Wing>s.HP>Rekka is really cool to me.
Good fei longs (although there are not too many) are probably one of the scariest characters in the game. He has a lot of nasty little tricks, like using cr short as a dodge to make people whiff shit like supers and he can OS his dp with block via negative edge on wakeup.
Wand yeah his corner chicken Wing pressure shenanigans are terrifying. Very hard character, but very fun
P4 simply is incompatible with me. I want to like the game but everything about it FEELS wrong.
Would HDR be something to look into, or should I just wait for my birthday present (stick) to show up and play ST on GGPO?
I THINK you can play classic ST on HDR, though IIRC there are still some differences or whatever.
Do you have ps3 or 360? Both are HDR and st are good, I prefer the st balance personally but there isnt anything wrong with except the sprites being hideous.
360 has a good player base, but the ps3 version has like 5 frames of lag built in so it isn’t supported by the community very well.
GGPO is all around amazing, but everyone on there is a monster at the game, so I would literally not expect to win for a while most of them just know the game so well. But connection is golden (I can play Japanese peeps no problem) and the price is right.
Fei Long is better in HDR I think.
On other news, I have actually been playing a lot of st lately only in te arcade, due to the pretty good at revival going on here. Like 12 of us go a week, it’s awesome. 3s and mvc2 as well.
Then I guess GGPO it is. I enjoy losing, unless the connection is laggy. Then I start raging. As long as I feel like I could have played my best and that I’m learning, losing is a-ok.
Oh yeah, there’s an arcade about 40 minutes away that usually has either ST or 3S (sometimes both) out. I even convinced the guy to put out HnK at one point.
Fuck, he has a decent amount of games. KOF XI, Dolphin Blue (<3), Alpha 2 and 3, Garou, SVC, Last Blade 2, Ibara… If the place had Guilty Gear, I’d be set.

On the submarine. They never actually showed the stand user, so her appearance was designed just for the game by the creator. I remember it being an advertised selling point.

Also: I love SG, but I love Arcsys fighters more, and that includes P4A. It’s just a lot of fun for me and I hope to keep playing it even when GG and BBCP come out. But I won’t turn my back on SG. Love that game too much as well. 'Course this all means that I may skip TT2. I’m jumping between too many fighters (right now it’s P4A, SFXT, SG, BBEX and OE on the side) and even though I can remain consistent in them, I just don’t think I can keep doing it. I’ll probably never get into SC5 even though I wanted to because I was playing other games and so much time has passed, TT2 was going to mark me getting into a 3D fighter seriously but I don’t think I’ll have the time to do so (especially with school back in, and plus I’m kinda pissed that there’s an online pass which kinda makes me want to spite Harada). Then we have the other non fighters coming soon like Z.O.E. HD, RE6 (can’t wait to play it and be dissapointed), Sony Smash Bros, MGR, etc. When did gaming become a series of to do list chores? I literally had a list once!
No arcade is every complete without time crisis imo. Razing Storm can be a substitute though.
Blashphemous. That’s not really Time Crisis. The only Time Crisis I haven’t beaten is 1 and I plan to some time.
Also, just to brag for no apparent reason, I once beat Time Crisis 2 on either 1 or two credits.
