I might make a $1000 donation to Skullgirls, but I’m wary of making a donation and then having no one at EVO to actually play the game. Does anyone know any Chicago players so I can help organize a midwest community that will come play at EVO?
Evo Turnout should be alright. The game got 100+ entrants for a side tourney last evo. There are still some months after this poll to organize and promote attending EvO for SG when this time it could be a main game

As a person that lives in Vegas, where Evo is usually held, I’m thinking of making a Vegas SkullGirls group. I definitely will be attending, and I want to do my best to see if I can get other Vegas players like myself to join in as well…
Game was also pretty new at EVO and had the new game hype going for it. I doubt you’ll see another 100+ turnout with the lack of support the game currently has; that needs to build up first imo.
I’ve had my girlfriend add the social media blitz to all her Facebook groups. I’m really rooting for Mike Z and co.
I can’t do much scene wise as I’m not a competitive player, but there’s a tournament at the end of the month in Seattle so you can be sure I’ll be asking around to see if anyone is interested in the game. Maybe I’ll start up my vlog again, but I’m not sure if I’ll have the time.

I agree with this. All the SG tournaments I’ve heard of have had single digit attendance. People like the game, but its largely a case of people not playing that game because they don’t see other people playing it. I think that could change with a little bit effort in different communities.
