Not going to lie; Most of the big name YT people that have done something for SG before are kind-of embarrassing to watch. Plus, most of the time they have literally zero idea of what the fuck they’re even doing…

I personally have a bad feeling about this. Not so much Egoraptor supporting SG (specifically through tumblr), but rather the Game Grumps aspect. I always feel like fandoms tend to be very volatile and erratic, and there’s no guarantee they will like Skullgirls. If they do, and things go well, I guess that’s awesome. But fandoms take on that very stream-monster-like mob mentality.
Regardless, we just need to build momentum, and find support, etc. I’ve reblogged the shit out of Skullgirls/Evo stuff.

I just googled “egoraptor skullgirls”, and i clicked like, the THIRD link, and it was a picture of Henry or Avery (I don’t remember the name of peacock’s big weight object) just ejaculating.

It would be great if someone like John Bain (TotalBiscuit) would post something about it, because he actually has knowledge of competitive gaming, apparently plays Street Fighter occasionally, is a decent human being, and has a large fanbase. However he’s known not to take requests, doesn’t like to be pestered, and general doesn’t cover console games. Still even a mention on his Content Patch series would be nice.
In fact if we could get any Youtubist that has a regular gaming news show to even mention the donation drive, it would be nice. The only other person I know that does one is Dodger, and while I know she enjoyed playing SG I don’t know if she’d mention anything about it even if asked. A mass twitter messaging to anyone is probably not (ie absolutely not) a good way to let them know of course. I tried tweeting the guys over at IndieStatic but got no reply unfortunately.
I don’t really play skullgirls, but will gladly donate to keep smash out. I respect some smashers, I even like the game casually… but I wanna keep EVO to the FGC.
They had their chance at EVO, and they blew it. Let a game for the FGC by the FGC be at our event.

Umm there’s porn of just about every video game character out there. Just type in a female game character’s name with Safe Search off and you’re bond to find either a pornographic drawing or cosplay out there. It’s nothing new or unique. Hell,there was a Mario Bros. porno made in the early 90’s.
