Instead of falling to pieces we could, you know, do things. If you have local scenes and stuff you can part with you can always do a raffle. Run charity tournaments. Whatever. Hopefully the stream tonight can get the ball rolling.

You know how you see a kid and your like, " I was just like that when I was his age." I don’t think I was ever that dramatic. Or at least, never that transparent. You need to step up your man-logic game before you come apart at the seams the first time you get laid off from a job.

I’m going to work hard because there is no local scene in vegas. Seems I got to make one from scratch.
Nintendo will not care about any of this. They won’t waste time supporting a game that’s over a decade old especially when they stopped making GC controllers ages ago. They have a new console and a new audience to cater to so Sony and Microsoft don’t take this generation free.
And I don’t recall the FGC not welcoming Smash other than noting how it’s a party game even though it IS one.
Smash community don’t do that stuff and never will. Sure, there’s always random trolls everywhere but don’t spread bullshit and assumptions. This is fair game and its for a good cause, lets not forget.
This is looking intense! Good luck to SkullGirl! I only wished that if both games had great donations by the end, both make it into the lineup. It would be fair, we will see happens in the next few days.

As some of you guys know, the lead designer had posted about the drive and it has gotten egoraptors attention. If things go well, then hopefully game grumps will use the psn code I sent to them yesterday…
I wouldn’t have imagined any of those girls would have much of an interest in video games… but I guess they do. How rare.

I just noticed Marie’s there looking all “I don’t get it”. She was probably invited there by one of the creators and is bored out of her mind.
First, Nintendo stopped makimg controller only a few months ago, there is still a lot of new controller around and old ones, more than required.
Also, what is a party game for you? A game you play with friends? Well, I played SF4 with my friends only for the fun, does that mean that SF4 is a party game? A party game is a non competitive game? Well, the smash communtity proves that smash is competitive. A party game is a game meant for fun? Well, SF4 and MvC3 are fun so, they are party game?
Oh stop being silly. It’s all about intended audience that makes a game a party game. Where SF4, Marvel, etc made with the intent to be party games? Nope! Was Smash? Yeap! Is that a bad thing? Nope! Does it mean it can’t be competitive? Nope! Does that mean that the developers think the competitive scene is nuts for playing it competitively? Yeap! But when it comes to Japanese game devs they often have the terrible view that they can’t do anything wrong and by disagreeing with them then you’re not a “true fan.” But that’s not really relevant with this topic now. It just annoys me that they have such an attitude.
Personally I don’t understand why more Smash players don’t support PSAS. Though from the one’s I’ve met they’ve all been crazy Nintendo fanboys to such a point that it made it impossible to hold a general discussion about video games. (Obviously not all Smash players are. I’ve just had an unfortunate experience with them.)
