Your honestly that last person I would have expected to be so silly about this whole matter.
I will put it simply, as your usually clear logic and intellect is clouded by emotion, which I understand.
SG not being on the main stage at evo doesn’t effect it having a big tournament with solid payout, nor does it kill the community.
People not showing up to play the game at the largest fighting game gathering in the world does.
You could easily make you money back for your travels at a decent sized side tournament.
Or you can let your wonderful efforts go to waste and go out looking like a punk.

It’s funny, I actually tried using Firebrand in UMVC3…didn’t work out well.
I don’t want to be a downer, I know in my mind what this is going towards, but my god damn disgusting ego and desire for skullgirls won’t let me calm down.
A decent-sized tournament is exactly what DOESN’T exist for Skullgirls.
Well, I’ve decided that if SG does not win, my wife and I can help put together a side tournament. Anyone like that idea?

You can avoid assuming that Smash hates us and rather than supporting their game donates just to block us from winning
You can take pride in us being on #2-3 even though we are a very small community
You can be happy this put us a bit into the limelight again, so we might’ve gotten people interested in our game
You can embrace that this community is apparently alive and kicking and start SG tourneys/weeklies/etc in your area
You can hop into the Melee boards, congratulate them on being awesome, and ask them to support SG by joining the inevitable SG side tourney @ EVO
You can whore out your body to rich old fat chinese women to raise money fast and shoot us to #1 again

All I wanted to do was just help the community that’s all, I was so excited that I could finally do something important for us. But I guess that blinded me from the real truth. I was nothing more then just a stick of dynamite ready to explode.
Maybe my enthusiasm and desire to win got the best of me, and fear just shrouded my vision of whats really important.
I was just too optimistic for my own good.
But you are right. I’m sorry. Maybe I should just step away for awhile and calm down and rethink this situation.

If your on the fence about whether to donate to SG or melee? ask your self this, which game will generate the most hype and memorable experience for evo? without a doubt MELEE WILL and CAN do this. Please support and donate to melee!!

Sorry have to disagree with you sLeak. I personally enjoy SG much more then Melee so i see no need in donating a penny to them. Don’t get me wrong i have no malice towards melee or the folks at Smashboard, but i rather see a game made by the community for the community get the spotlight then a game thats been around since last generation and already has enough exposure as is. Although I respect them for being hungry, we are starving
