I would love to dude, but really I donāt know if I can side with the people who demolished us. I still respect you guys, donāt get me wrong, I just donāt think I can look at the smash community anymore. I just feel that they purposely wanted to destroy my moral even after I just got it back.

No, part of the problem is that the people who have a say arenāt the ones who are ACTUALLY ATTENDING.
The people who have a say are the people who have money to throw around. I DONāT.
I am underemployed, and make basically just about enough to pay my bills and not much more. I play SG a lot because I donāt have money to do anything else.
So Iāll be perfectly honest: I saw EVO as an opportunity to actually go to a tournament and MAYBE make the money back from the trip. Going to EVO is a luxury for me, and a luxury that my wife will likely have to bear the burden of. Iām not sure if I want to put her through that with no possibility of making the money back to go to an event full of members of the FGC that she does not know or care about, in addition to her not playing fighting games much.
So basically for me itās āgo to an even Iām going to enjoy that my wife is going to have to payā or āgo to the event with the hopes of paying her backā.
So no, Iām not part of the problem.
IāM the only one in my area who plays the damn game.
IāM the only one in my area or even state who dedicates a stream to it.
IāM one whoās made tutorials about the game hoping to entice others and make our community better.
IāM the heart and soul of this fucking game because I love the hell out of it.
BUT I donāt have money. No one in my area plays the game because thereās no money in it. And I can be as fucking optimistic as Iāve been so far, but SG needs this more than it needs me.

Well, the Melee community is a proof that a community can survive and even flourish without the help of major stuff. MLG only picked the game 4 years after the release and Evo? 6 years, and both league dropped them a year after (not sure for MLG and Evo picked Brawl the second year). Most of the Melee tournaments are hosted by the community. Even if SG doesnāt win, you can build a succesful community.
Weāre more than 1 guy.
And honestly. We canāt fail now. Weāre in bat country.

We got two weeks, thatās another paycheck incoming some where in there! We made it to 4k in a couple of days; keep up the pace!

But how??? What can I do??? I canāt travel much and I donāt see any SkullGirls players in Vegas. I tried my best to try and spread the word, and everyone just flat out ignored me. Only about 2 or 3 people actually even listened to me. Even if we did win, I just realized that I have no real way to support the community outside of Vegas.
