Melee > Brawl.
So I had totally forgot that my little sister is apparently really popular on the internet (apparently she knows tons of people on facebook, tumblr, twitter, etc). I sent her the donation link because she agreed to help spread the word.
I don’t know how many of those people will listen, but hopefully people donate anyway even if they don’t like video games.

But, yeah. The “Melee > Brawl” concept is weired to me.
Melee is just a better competitive fighting game than Brawl, what’s not to understand? If that wasn’t the case, the smash community would be all over Brawl instead.
Because Brawl is crap competitively.
There is random tripping, no real combos due to the change in gravity and movement is not the same. Which is why Brawl has to be hacked to have different gravity and remove tripping among other things to make it into Project M.
Brawl is also lacking Melee’s advanced techinques, it’s slower, camping is too good (Meta Knight is hated because of that) and the worse thing about brawl is that Mewtwo, Pichu and Doc Mario are missing :’(

Well that’s what is most likely going to happen since if they reach $1000 on their stream tonight, they’ll donate another 3300 to it. They are going to hit us pretty hard with 4300 in one go.
A few friends of mine used to play it casually but one of them was pretty ridiculous with Majin Vegeta, and also had a joke build Tien who could basically infinite people to death.

Thats the flaw. Why bother playing that hand now when there is two weeks worth of possibilities? Its one thing if the standings were hidden, but since its not the only purpose this early is something akin to stroking ones ego (I’m not applying thats what they are doing, just an observation). The Results at the End is what matters. In any case SmashBoards made this interesting so can’t complain on that.
So basically you are saying that tomorrow we wake up to see that they are at 8000+ donations, we still have a chance to win this? Which I’m not saying we don’t, but that’s basically what you are saying right?
Your naive if one can let your guard down in a bidding war when the results at the end is what matters at the end of the day. $ quantity is not the issue for this kind of donation. Timing is whats important. Especially since this donation contest does not have a Cap. Its the Snake that suddenly comes out of the grass that one needs to be wary of

Now you get it. Tactic and timing in the end will win this kind donation contest. In all honesty, I’m not worried about this. Got a few tricks up my sleeve at the proper time. Just Spread the Word and promote SG anyway you can while not losing morale. At the same time, this kind of interesting competition is going to a worthy cause so everyone wins
