Skullgirls is not pad friendly?

Oh man, I feel for ya =(. After spending a crap ton of money on a stick, I realized that it doesn’t matter what medium you use to play a fighter with. All ya gotta do is stick with it and practice.

For me, I’ve been playing a PS pad my whole life and it feels very comfortable. With folks like Wolfkrone and Fanatiq repping the scene with a pad, we’ve got no worries for what we use.

Good shit with keeping your head high as well =D. As long as you’re having fun and have the want of improving, you’ll definitely keep getting better.

Since I’m a solo player, I put instead shortcuts representing the Punch and Kick buttons. But hey, where’s that Day 1 Q&A thread you’re talking about?

Im playing this game on a madcatz fightpad and since this game uses a six button scheme its very difficult for me to successfully chain combos without pressing the wrong button… I was thinking about getting a stick again seeing that directional execution isnt as hard as it is in umvc3 like when I use viper

If I recall it was in the old Q&A thread which is closed/gone now, but the post was made by Mike Z on day one

on the xbox pad, a, x, LT have been my punches, b, y, RT have been my kicks, and the bumpers as shortcuts.

Playing on pad since day one, doing NOM loops and everything on the default config. No RDPs and 35f charges make it a lot easier.

I have no problem using pad especially since I abuse one button dash with a 2 character team

I think Skullgirls is bad for pad players if your using 3 characters but with 2 characters you got that 1 button dash and Assist call marco

Unless someone has a layout for Pad Players for 3 characters, I play on Hori Fighting Commander Pro

And if you go solo, its like SFIV with the macros for the supers.

I don’t get how RDP matters. It’s just a P2 side DP.

It has more to do with having to do them while trying to move forward plus the fact that its not a motion you see every day. It shouldnt matter on paper - I can do way harder motions - but for some reason or another I fuck up while trying to do RDPs pretty often.

You are only allowed 2 macros, I think Mike Z should patch and put up to 4 macro shortcuts

So I am not having any problems using a PS3 pad. I play with the default controls. I am guessing that if you are left handed, you could try making L1 and L2 = HP and HK and the R1 and R2 buttons assists to see if that helps out.

edit:I’d also like to add that doing supers with 3 buttons instead of 2 seems more consistent.
