Oh man, I feel for ya =(. After spending a crap ton of money on a stick, I realized that it doesn’t matter what medium you use to play a fighter with. All ya gotta do is stick with it and practice.
For me, I’ve been playing a PS pad my whole life and it feels very comfortable. With folks like Wolfkrone and Fanatiq repping the scene with a pad, we’ve got no worries for what we use.
Good shit with keeping your head high as well =D. As long as you’re having fun and have the want of improving, you’ll definitely keep getting better.
Im playing this game on a madcatz fightpad and since this game uses a six button scheme its very difficult for me to successfully chain combos without pressing the wrong button… I was thinking about getting a stick again seeing that directional execution isnt as hard as it is in umvc3 like when I use viper
It has more to do with having to do them while trying to move forward plus the fact that its not a motion you see every day. It shouldnt matter on paper - I can do way harder motions - but for some reason or another I fuck up while trying to do RDPs pretty often.
So I am not having any problems using a PS3 pad. I play with the default controls. I am guessing that if you are left handed, you could try making L1 and L2 = HP and HK and the R1 and R2 buttons assists to see if that helps out.
edit:I’d also like to add that doing supers with 3 buttons instead of 2 seems more consistent.
