Curious if you frown upon stuff like this in the game? I know its always amazing to see people break down the game and find stuff that might not have been gotten by you guys.

But in the long run are full life combo’s just something you dont want in the game at all or is it a “just depends” type of situation. Also how much does the “casual” opinions sway what you change?

I said to myself I wouldn’t sweat the code, I’d just let someone do it.

But it’s just sitting in the back of my mind, wondering where I have to input the code and what the code is.

Heck no! Same-ratio 100% for 4 meters is fine by me. Same-ratio 100% for 1 meter or "Ha-hyu-ha–HAA!"x40 isn’t. I was happy to see this.

“Casual” opinion does fsck-all for what I change of the gameplay…example: Tager is amazing when the level of play is low, does that mean he should get nerfed? :^) But that’s not because it’s the casual opinion, it’s because it’s someone else’s. MY opinion does everything, and occasionally I may agree with the casual players.

A few choice quotes from Maximillian’s videos, mostly paraphrased:

“I can’t wait to see if online is 1v1, 3v3, or what.”

I had lost ALL perspective about this game, regularly lurking this forum, consuming EVERY SINGLE PIECE of media and information that Reverge would feed us. I felt like I knew just about everything there was to know about the game, and I had never played it.

I almost wish I hadn’t done that, because as I’m watching Maximillian’s “journey of discovery,” I would have loved to discover all of this stuff organically, just as he is doing. I really would hope for him to just document the entire process, as creepy as that sounds.

Before going to bed, and while I was sleeping, I was thinking of different characters that could be DLC, and how they would play. I have made movesets and playstyles for I would have wanted in a few games.

Before I post, is this a good place to post it, or should it be in another board? I have thoughts on 8 characters or so, and don’t want to make a giant post, or multiple ones, just to be told to take it somewhere else. This thread seems like the right one, but want to make sure.

Yeah, while I would hate to be on the reciving end of that, you really need meter for it, and a lot of skill. It’s not an easy dial a combo.

Though have you seen anything so far that you might change? Gameplay wise I mean.

Oh man I hated fighting tager… I just kept getting beaten so badly. Him and his Real Soviet Damage…

I’m watching his story video right now. It’s cool to see him walking in on this blind. It really shows how a newcomer may view this game. Sure he has fighting experience, but he is discovering new things every second he plays! It’s very fun to watch.

;_; 6 games of anything-can-OTG spanning fifteen years of competitive play, and now “Marvel” means specific moves have OTG properties. Ask not for whom my tears flow, FGC…I weep for thee.

Well, I think he is comparing it to the latest marvel game right now. Given some time in training he will learn more and more, just like anyone else walking into this blind.

I have no clue what you’re talking about. The FGC clearly sprung up in 2009.

Forgive my lack of perspective. The only games I’ve played that I can remember having OTG’s at all were Marvel 3, BlazBlue, and…Melty I think? And if memory serves, all three had the system as OTG’s as a boolean value for each individual move.

Not that I don’t believe you, of course, but I would like to know at least some of the 6 games you’re referencing.

Typically, in the 2D/2.5D fighter realm things are referred to by Capcom baselines: Street Fighter-like, Marvel-like, etc. (Though I guess you do also get GG-like, which is what people siad about BB when it first came out – since that’s quite literally what it is.)
