Just went back home yesterday night. Giving back the Skullgirls build was so sad I almost cried manly tears.
Thanks to every player that came to WGC and played Skullgirls. Thanks a lot for coming to my room at night too, and sorry when I was not available because of podcasting. I also thanks players that were very very kind, leaving when I asked them to do it and not seeking to stay and all.
Thanks to Ravi that made it possible, we had some issues but that was worth it. As howtoread said, people that were here really enjoyed it a lot. Myself I enjoyed a lot playing the game and seing good matches.
WGC was my first time playing the game, thanks to me being a filthy European (nah, just joking, I can only imagine how hard it must be to ship dev copies across the seas.)
If you’ve seen my name somewhere, it’s probably on this forum or on TestYourMight, (or on some UK MVC streams, I guess)
Thanks once again for letting us get some midnight sessions with the game, dude, I was kept way too busy to play the game during the daytime, so I might’ve missed out big!
Cheers for letting us into your room for that last few games! Having silent games on the floor while you recorded that podcast was certainly an interesting close to the weekend!
I tried Painwheel only a handful of times just to keep reminding myself how awkward to use she is, so you did a damn sight better than most Definitely going to give her a proper crack when I get my own copy of the game!
Well there is fandom … and then there is fan dumb.
I hope the majority of us can be mature enough to avoid the second one. Honestly I think the worst thing you can do is lie to yourself about liking/disliking something. You can show people stuff like say Skull Girls but, at the end of the day if they get no sense of enjoyment out of it then that’s just their subjective feelings which I can understand and be ok with. Not everyone is going to like the same things. If we did this world would be a boring place.
