Skullgirls GD - It's Showtime on PSN! XBLA 4-11!

Soul Caliber says hi.

It’s not exactly as you put it, but it’s pretty close.

Look at Kilik’s progression in every game.

Know what Brain Drain needs?
MIND GAMES

Also, I just thought of something today. I wonder if any move is ever going to be affected by Infinite Detection, like a poison that hurts the victim if they ever land a red spark hit or something. That would be nuts if you have to spend the rest of the round making sure not to trigger it at all.

Lemme throw an idea at you guys…

Lesbian Vampire.

Is it bad that I’ve been saying “SCISSORS” a lot ever since I first heard Samson say it?

That line is…stupidly fitting…

But it’s weird. Samson’s the only really male playable character so far, so I had to pick Filia. She fits my playstyle though. <3 (Y’know since I only play male characters apparently and apparently I only play insane/crazy/weird as hell male characters and…etc)

SCISSORS

Definitely must visit here more often.

You know what would be a beast ass-super for Brain Drain? A grab that does damage, snaps the opponent out and inflicts MODOK’s jamming bomb effect on the opponent’s snapped out character. (when they re-enter their controls are reversed for 5-6 seconds.

How about…

Telekinetic Granny in a wheelchair.

and she’s incredibly adorable/Betty White looking

his hand is blue, and burning orange.

Marceline? I kid I kid. (kind of?)

Mainly boils down to which style you follow.

Aiki ju-jutsu is older and has a much emphasis on actually crushing and breaking bones/limbs, Aikido is based off Aiki ju-jutsu. While Aikido can be aggressive, Morihei Ueshiba’s (O-Sensei) Aikido is all about disabling the opponent without causing harm (this was the style I studied, the dojo was part of the Aikikai for whatever that’s worth). Under Ueshiba’s style there is just about… zero attacking (early Aikido did have strikes and such and you do learn these but just so you can apply techniques). You never, ever initiate combat as an aikidoka, erm aikido practitioner. Seriously, you don’t learn how to punch, kick or strike to initiate combat. It was all about disabling the opponent without ever causing harm.
Hmmm, I guess it boils down to the overall philosophy of the styles. You CAN easily break bones with Aikido if you wanted to, but that would go against the whole point of Aikido to begin with. So it’s more the application of techniques that differs I suppose? Something like Hapkido would be a lot more interesting IMO. That’s just me though .

Oh yeah and while Steven Seagal did/does practice Aikido and is/was damn good at it (I honestly have no idea what he does now… probably Buddhism stuff), a lot of the fights he did in his movies went waaaaay beyond what was taught even though he is part of the Aikikai.

From what I know it was actually quite good until SCV. They did it SO wrong I’m still like that O_o
What’s the point of losing characters due timeskip when all others are look intact? It’s just… wrong.
Also I’m speaking about changes that will affect all roster: old characters will retire and train some fresh blood. Younglings will mature. Loving couples will born kids to whom they will pass their styles [There are too little loving couples in FGs lol. I hope SG will have some =3]. Also boss can lost his powers or… arm and become playable char. Or someone could be possessed with demons or whatnot. You really can have storymode that will have impact on the gameplay. It also can be used to keep characters fresh each iteration.

What? I’m not particularly fond of this stuff actually >_>

I oughtta slap the pony tail off of d3v for bringing that G Gundam hooplah in here…

Heh heh… shark week. He redeemed himself by reminding me of that.

So, Friday morning should be fun…

So it basically boils down to “NIGGA I COULD PARALYZE YOU”. But I won’t cause Im a nice guy and cool like that. or rather, its learning a bunch of ways to kill/hurt people then NOT doing it?

That happened in SC.

I mean, Sophia’s kids fill up four slots on their own, Xiba took Kilik’s spot, I’m pretty sure Taki trained Natsu, and Nightmare lost alot of his power when Sigefried gained control of himself.

We posting random videos now?

Yeah it’s a weird decision. Also Maxi doesn’t look different at all from the last game(I would mention Ivy but she has that whole… whatever the hell is going on with her that prevents her aging) so it’s like the 17 year skip didn’t even really happen. That’s the real problem, too big of a time skip and didn’t keep things consistent with that time skip.

Also still salty as hell about what happened to Sophitia, she was supposed to have a happy ending, and there’s no mention of Cassandra anywhere (2 of the 5 characters I actually care about a bit).

OT but, we should all have a moment of silence for MissingPerson. Sure, he sin’t dead, but he has a moody, hormonal, Korean wife (and anyone who’s known Korean women should know what I’m talking about).

A character like Elf isn’t too strong, thus nerfing doesn’t help. He just doesn’t fit the game at all.

Anything Gundam and Gundam related is full of awesome and win. Always.

THAT aside, does anyone know when the GTV vids are going to be shown? As one without cable, I sadly will miss the initial reveal…

I know. And it’s cool. But they are doing it to single characters not to whole universe. They just keep old roster intact. You wouldn’t say that 17 have gone by if it wasn’t for prologue >_>
The thing I’d want to see is systematic change of the whole game’s world. But it’s just me.

Maybe it’s so because the game was rushed? But in its current state it makes you going WTF?
