Skullgirls Gameplay Discussion Thanks For Playing

It doesn’t matter if spamming 360s is a viable strategy or not - the point I’m making where the principal is the same is that if you don’t figure how to deal with that completely unviable nonsense the opponent deserves to win.

I couldn’t hit combos, he hit mostly all of his. So it wasn’t as terrible on his side i had the wrong GGPO so it was like dial-up connection i couldn’t do shitt and still took rounds without combos.

You (or anybody else for that matter) wouldn’t happen to know of that one website that let you watch two streams at once, would you? If not, I just hope SRK advertises them both on the same article so I can have them next to each other.

That is NOT why people throw or ‘spam’ fireballs, which was your comparison.

And what of COURSE it matters if its a viable strategy or not. In the scenario which you give, where for some reason the person can’t learn to deal with random supers, then its a viable strategy. But that is so rare and at that point, they are no longer random supers, they are most likely reads based upon what the oppenent got hit by before and continues to get hit by.

Random Supers:
DON’T FUCKIN DO 'EM

I’ve already proven my character time and time again, but if YOU want to see it, we can try tonight.

Pali, Guita this is your last warning.

Because, much like your situation, my means of escape were shut down by lag.

On my side it was bad enough that a 1v2 couldn’t even do 50% damage on a combo. Air dashes were dropped. Inputs didn’t come out. The only reason my head tosses came out is because when j.MK comes out it hits twice, giving me enough time to mash qcb+HP and hope it works. Then, of course, you’d fall, and qcb+HP for the OTG wouldn’t come out.

Lag works both ways bro.

oh yea i have to second the awful commentary on WNF stream as well. the guy should have just shut up for a second and he might have learned something, instead of assuming that everybody had a command grab (seriously wtf was up with that), and my fave comment "cerebella can afford to be random cos she has so much health, shes a tank"
i almost turned it off it was so bad.

gtfo of here.

Back to gameplay did mike say when the DLC characters were going to be implemented?

IIRC they just now started to work on the first character since the patch development is well underway.

Or it could be wishful thinking. But I think I heard that.

nothing official, I honestly wouldnt expect anything till mid/late fall at the earliest

I’m thinking summer, after these patches. we have an art team and programming team that can 100% focus on characters. They don’t have to worry about the rest of the art assets. If they release them one at a time, and they should do that so that they can make more MONEY.

Programmers are working on the PC version and the patch. I’m not expecting a character before September.

I wonder if Ravid got the ok on music and stages.

Well, I’m not sure who programs for the PC version, I’m down with them developing PC version, that makes them more money. But I’m not certain the guy you are talking about ever did stuff for characters, if you get me. I think he did UI/netplay programming from what mike was saying, so they will need to add stuff to character select and hud elements of course and that could slow stuff down.

Scarier? I really doubt it’s possible to get scarier than a character that can take you to a corner and nom you to death from almost anywhere. The only thing we can say for sure is that she’ll get different. More interesting? Maybe. Scarier? Probably not.

He’s having one of those “I don’t know what I’m talking about moments.”

Don’t worry, it usually passes a few minutes afterwords and he apologizes.

That was just dumb. Once the head actually becomes part of her game plan past SPAM OM NOM NOM AND FP FULL SCREEN I think she will get scarier and her real potential will open wide up. Throw in assists that aren’t Napalm Pillar and it could get even scarier.

I have to agree, nothing scarier then trying to play footsies and losing the game because of losing one exchange.

Sure, she’ll be scary, she’ll be technical, but I don’t think anything gets scarier then the ultimate footsies tool.

M point exactly, because far as I know jabbing Bella in the face after an air string is a very terrible idea as your opp will mash out 360. Trust me I got hit enough times from that to realize that unless you hit her with a move that has a lot of hit stun then your wasting your time.
