It looks like new tod combos are leaning towards using 3 meter, or starting with 2 meter and gaining a 3rd somewhere during the combo. I like that.

I haven’t done any practical testing, but I am sure Team Nazi Monster has 3 meter TOD options pretty easily, what with lvl 3 RC cancel and all.

All the more fine considering jHK IAD jHK isn’t a very common way to begin combos.
Dammit guitalex I’m still attempting to get that Fiber Upper to connect properly and then smack them back down from it, and you’re already ToDing left and right! (Keep at it!)

If its a super or tag then mash it ie:

Qcf x n and mash pp or kk

Tag = mash hk+hp

Dp motion is different:

1 dp motion and press the button 2-3 times :tup:

Yeah, TODs are a lot more impractical in meter use and execution. Which is PERFECTLY FINE with me.

My Parasoul/Painwheel team can ToD with 3 meters, corner, on size 2 and 3 teams off of a S.LP, but oh well.

This games awesome and I love it so.

Hey guys, I know this is plugging but I’m curious about your thoughts!

I cannot believe people complained about Double ^_^. Even pre-patch I never had an issue with dealing with her or buttslam as an assist.

What I do have problems with it Guitalex’s demoralizing Ms. Fortune. Like third world demoralizing. Every reset I try, no matter which one it is gets snuffed by fiber upper, air-super, or worse the fifth of dismember. However, even if I read it and block fiber upper I can’t punish it. It’s hit-box is too awkward and I can’t get close enough. Not only that, but any hit with fiber upper ends up confirming into a death combo,

It’s literally the most frustrating thing I’ve encountered in the game, more frustrating than his tendency to accidentally choose “Return to Main Menu” when he doesn’t mean it. GGs but… wow

Yeah, mf faceplanting on the mash is one of those things that though i havent played against it, i know is going to piss me off… Like lvl 3 in the air… Wow, so good for calling resets… Without actually calling them, hahah. But w/e everyone has bullshit in this game.

I actually really like double in this patch, painwheel though, not so much, but that could change once i get my bnbs down.

No they aren’t tons of TOD combos start with 1 meter, he just plays a solo character.

The only noticeable difference I see with Double is that the heavy butt often only hits twice rather than thrice and that you have to Bionic Car from the other direction or else they hit the ground.

Oh, and nobody seems capable of blocking a sporadic thrown out at random Bionic Car online. Nobody…

Yeah Peacock could care less about the invincibility getting nerfed because she can put a wall of shit in front of the assist which makes it borderline untouchable any ways. That’s how you have to cover your assists in UMVC3 since there’s only one invincible assist now (and it’s only active invincible for one more frame than Double’s LK bomber).

I love using Parasoul with it also because I can put tears and bike in front of and just go in and start doing shit.

Like here’s a thing that just happened. I call double, he responds to double with fiber upper. I see that as an Opening so I IAD HP with valentine and he just fiber uppers again and hits me and kills me. Another example that just happened. I have a reset with Cerebella that most people will try to jump out of. It gets around napalm pillar, gets around updo, even gets around LK buttslam, but DOESN’T get around fiber upper. NTM, at any given point I have to think “will someone jump this throw” except with Fortune, fiber upper is the perferred method of going into the air, so if I try to Yomi Excellabella I just get punched in the face. NTM she is more frustrating to approach than Peacock. Can’t go on the ground without worrying about noms. Can’t go in the air without worrying about fiber upper again. And if, IF I find the golden opportunity to punish fiber upper and its weird hitbox, the head on the ground just makes it safe! Also, since fiber upper makes fortune airborne, you basically get a free overhead crossup after your invincible and nigh unpunishable DP. UUUGH.

I’d take a million pre-patch buttslams over this any day. :slight_smile:

For the life of me though, I do not know how someone who has the dexterity and skill to be this good at solo fortune can be so bad a choosing “play again.” This is the fourth accidental game drop ^_^.

Maybe he’s just mashing out reversals at every reset point? =/
Just bait the fiber upper, block, then dash and c.lk punish.

I’ll admit to what I’ve been doing.

I’ll use pushblock dash cancel to Fiber Upper earlier than regular blockstun would let me do.

Pushblock ass, DP as soon as animation is over. Neat thing. You can try using it when you’re in blockstun from pressure to 360 throw in between blockstrings.

Just tried in training. Dash c.LK doesn’t hit in time after normal blockstun. Or at least, not easily.

Merry-Go-Rilla? Crouching mp? kara crouching mp xx MGR/Diamond Drop? There must be something.
