Skullgirls Bugs & Glitches Thread - Check First Post

Console: PS3
Model: Slim
HDD: 120GB
Occurrence: Story Mode: Filia
Glitch: Slow Down - but went back to normal

First match against Parasoul in Filia story I did a Hairball through Parasoul’s Projectile Solider but didnt get a clean hit on Parasoul. Parasoul then did 2 c.LPs and then its froze or i thought it did but then it slowly went back to normal speed until it was perfectly fine

Same here. Twice, both as an online char select screen was about to load (the music had changed). I have an old 20 GB HDD, I had one controller plugged in at the time… that’s about all I can add.

Console: PS3
Model: Slim 160
Glitch: Network
Characters: Me: peacock and Valentine, Sanger: Peacock.
Occurence, end battle/stage select

Me and Sanger just finished a unranked match. I was player one and him player 2. I said play again, he selected change stage. it brought us to the stage select, but I could not do anything. No button worked. So the time went to 0, and just stood there.

Private unranked match i chose “change stage” after a fight, timer counted down to zero, then game froze on zero. Both players had to quit to dashboard with the xbox button.

Old white xb360

sometimes on the “challenge declined” or “closing network connection” screen on xbox (before the menu where you choose quickmatch, after a connection is cancelled for some reason) The game will freeze (I know it freezes for a bit normally, but what I’m describing it freezes for an extended time, as in, I surfed on my laptop, for a while and it’s still frozen after) and the only way to get out is to either turn off the console, or go back to xbox home. and restart the game

Console: PS3
Model: Fat 160
Glitch: Network (unranked)
Characters: Parasoul, Cerebella (me) Opponent Peacock
Occurence, end battle/stage select

When selecting the play again option the timer got stuck on 15 for the rest of the matches, even when I stopped playing it was still there

Makes perfect sense. Same happens when Fortune’s head is off and she does her air hyper, then tries to input Omnomnom correctly.

Same here. Usually when im cancelling and online search.

So first, THANK YOU to everyone posting. Your feedback is very useful. I am reading all of these, but for a lot of them like the random loading freezes or the graphical corruption…there isn’t much to say. We encountered both during testing and fixed both, or so we thought. Heh. We’ll do what we can in a patch, of course. (^.^)

I’ll see if we can get Exit Game to go to main menu, then just the main menu’s choice will quit. But the current behavior is what they told us was required, and we did get rejected when we did that the first time. (O.o)

Not having to reverse your inputs to compensate for a move crossing up during itself is intentional, that way you don’t ever get the wrong move if you cancel early/late. Thank you, SRKMind.

And because I have to ask it:
For the people who say it freezes on a networking message, like cancelling online match, does pressing Back/Select not work? Does the background stop animating? (These are the “Did you plug in your computer?” questions, and I think I know the answers, but I have to ask them anyway. :^)

My xbox doesnt have a HD, but as I said, all the other games runs fine, loading times seens to be correct (they are faster than the loading times of a game that is beeing loaded from the cd), I dont think the fact of skullgirl’s loading time’s beeing so slow is related to my hardware.

Ever since this happened I cannot join online rooms at all. :frowning:
Gonna try uninstalling the game.
Edit: Uninstalling the game solved it.

Glitch: Move Recovery
Peacock’s Road Roller allows her to move during it if she is struck during the freeze. Occurred when Ms. Fortune threw her head just before she was hit.

Might as well throw this in. I’ll eventually make a video of the experience but…long story short the network mode at least from the couple hours I was playing was doing strange things that I’ve never seen PC GGPO or 3S OE do.

OK… so I have no idea how that happened… but I kinda wanna see it actually get into the game as a stage now  An homage to early glitches

A few local players here get heavy lag regardless of green ping, even though we (people who play against them) feel fine during the match.
This game needs some patching and quick.

Got a weird one on 360 (360 “pro” 60gb, pretty sure the last model before elites/slims/etc.). I’ll be able to play anywhere from 1-3 matches online with a friend, then another match will start up. Right after it says “action” or whatever, it’ll then say “That’s a wrap” and It’ll say that I disconnected. They would then get stuck in a black screen and have to dashboard to get out. It’s happened with three of my friends that I’ve tried playing this with. It probably has something to do with my lackluster internet combined with the how far my Xbox is from my router, but the weird thing is we’d be in a Xbox party talking the whole time.

Another weird one is occasionally we’d hit some combination of play again and change characters, and it’d boot us out to the main menu. More often than not the training menu.

I have 2 really minor issues with the center point of the UI on my 26’HD screen (not full HD) while using the smallest option:

  1. The in game UI it’s slight off centered to the left (smallest).
  2. The white menu text are cut a bit, they should be moved a bit to the right to avoid this on non full HD screens.

It’s been a while since I read through the doc, but I’m 99% sure it’s not a TCR failure to have your pause menu do this (though your main menu one needs to). And I fired up a couple of games (Ikaruga, 3OE) and this is what they do :open_mouth:

**Here’s a quick link to a visual of where the slowdown is extremely apparent on Xbox Live. **http://www.youtube.com/ watch?v=CBlumrolOPA#t=8m05s

This slowdown doesn’t occur offline much ever from what I’ve seen. At least not to that degree.
