I’m going to assume Nadia being crushed into a life gem was part a complex plot to gain easy access to mafia headquarters. When the life gem is left alone, she’ll pop out and say “I’M IMMORTAL BITCHES” and start killing fools left and right.
Because there’s no way they’d kill off the adorable catgirl so early.
Her motives aren’t financial and somewhat understandable, but people that aren’t in the family are still wounded or killed. You think they would accept tha kind of explanation?
Also pure does not equal goodness. Also love does not equal goodness also. Cerebella’s acts of pure love have lead to horrible consequences and she does know that in her ending.
Case in point: Here, in my hometown, a ceratin drug lord was arrested. He started in the criminal business to pay for her daughter’s treatment. They love each other a lot. And the daddy is responsible for a lot of deaths, fathers and etc. The daughter still says that he is a good person.
You aren’t getting what i’m trying to say.
i’m not doubting that criminals love each other.
What i’m saying is that the relationship was poorly done.
In Godfather for example, you can see Al Pacino and his sons have big bonds between them.
they truly love each other as family, and while they do despicable things, you can sympathize with them.
The Movie also shows Al Pacino helping people from the family.
In skullgirls, cerebella love is almost one sided, Vitale does jackshit for her, they’re Slave Traders, probably rapists, they aren’t shown helping no one, there is a huge chance Fillia when was part of the Medicis was a huge bitch
My point is, the medicis have no good qualities or relationships going for them.
They’re full of scumbags.
I don’t know about that. I sort of figured that they forced her to do something terrible as a sign of loyalty to the family and when she found samson, she’s is so consumed with guilt that she asked him to make her forget everything.
I agree, it’d be neat to see why Cerebella cares about Vitale. Right now it’s hard to sympathize with her because he’s just an unlovable dick.
Some silly things I noticed?
When Cerebella goes against Filia, her dialogue is sometimes “The new ‘do’ just isn’t you!” I thought that was a neat hint at Fillia’s bloodline, and I’m interested to see those two get together and talk about Fillia’s past. The only person Fillia needed to see for her answers all along was Cerebella!
When Peacock beats Parasoul, Parasoul will sometimes say “Testing… complete.” as she thuds to the ground. I like to think that Parasoul is aware of and openly supports Peacock’s creation as an Anti-Skullgirl weapon. Which makes sense - though she probably wouldn’t support Peacock going in and mass-murdering the Medici family.
I think she would be tempted to look the other way.
Also against Painwheel she says something like: “You poor child, I never approved this”. Combine with the Peacock dialogue and we see that she may be ok with Lab 8 but certainly not 0.
Also, Marie says that she is similar to her father. I am imagining that he was a war crazy fellow, that allowed labs to experiment on humans.
Yeah, nazi analogy going and going. I just hope there will be no shitstorm because of this.
Lab 0 works in total secret and are pretty dag sinister, who’s to say they didn’t kidnapped more innocent girls to experiment on.
And people have to bare in mind about Cerebella. She was adopted by Vitale, she thinks of the creeper like a father, and the rest of the Medici’s and her Circus pals as family. Also remember what was said on the Skullgirls Website about the Medici Mafia:
"While the Renoir Crown rules the the Canopy Kingdom, the Medici rules its sizable underworld. On the surface, the wealthy Medici family is noble and generous, but beneath this facade lurks the truth: most everyone of power in New Meridian is being manipulated, coerced or directly controlled by the Medici crime family. Lorenzo is the patriarch of the Medici clan, and he’s sat atop its throne as long as anyone can remember… some say even longer. However, he has recently disappeared, leaving his son, Vitale, in charge."
The “Noble and Generous” part is most likely what Cerebella thinks most of the Medici Mafia, she problemly thinks all these leg breaker missions that Vitale sends her on is for the good of everyone.
Also bare in mind this: Cerebella is fighting for her family as much as Fortune is fighting to avenge her’s.
As for the Filia/Cerebella relation, I guess that’ll be explored in the future.
I’m kinda interested in seeing how the other living umbrella weapons will come into the story, wasn’t it said there there are 4 more besides the two we know of?
Lorenzo is the patriarch of the Medici clan, and he’s sat atop its throne as long as anyone can remember… some say even longer. However, he has recently disappeared, leaving his son, Vitale, in charge."
With that description from the old Skullgirls website, it can be assumed that Lorenzo was using the Life Gem as a means to continue living to keep the Medici family in power, giving the Fish Bone gang good reason to steal it.
Guys, living weapons don’t have a personality because they don’t have any consciousness. Vice-Versa’s apparent personality is only Cerebella using it to emote. Parasites do have their own personality though.
I really want everyone to have a personality. So the final unlocked scene for beating story mode 500 times is the following.
So Samson, Kreig, Leviathan, Hungern, Marie’s Vaccum, Peacock’s cronies, and Vice Versa are drinking at a bar without their owners. They’re all creating a tier-list of who’s the hottest chick in the game… and then suddenly the ladies walk in!
After they see the list all hell breaks loose and fighting starts amongst the girls.
That’s the problem with Bella’s story: her character and motivations weren’t fleshed out enough IMO. Too much was left to guess. I can understand why they hide facts about Filia in her story but I still think, that Bella’s one could use some more depth.
From what I gather… think of Living Weapons like… primitive animals. They are alive and possibly have some sentience, but not enough to have an actual personality. Whereas parasites aren’t human, but they are capable of having a human personality.
It seems like the ASG Labs’ artificial parasites (Painwheel’s Buer Drive and Gae Bolga, and Peacock’s Argus System and Avery Unit) function more like living weapons, though. I don’t see Painwheel’s blade talking to her or anything. Avery confuses me though, is he the actual parasite himself? Or was he just made with it, like the other members of Peacock’s gang? I’m at a loss there. .- .
i was replaying parasoul’s story and noticed in the egret picture at the start how tall panzerfaust really is. he’s like twice as big as everyone else. like 12 feet tall . . .
baseless speculation
[details=Spoiler]
which got me thinking, why is he so tall? is it the art style or may there be a plot reason?
and then it hit me: i think he might be a half-gigan.[/details]
