Supposedly the ending was supposed to have a bunch of pyramid heads pop up from the ground and start tearing shit up, but they ran out of money. I don’t see how the barb wire crap cost any less than pyramid head massacre, but I suppose it all works out.
I really liked the movie though. There are very few movies that I will forgive the story and actually enjoy it for the look or experience of watching it. I watch Silent Hill almost every time it is on and I personally think the story is horribly written.
the only thing I didnt like about the movie was how they made Dahlia Gillespie not evil. And im sure most fans wanted to see a Demon of silent hill fight.
Eh, seems like a cheaper version of House of the Dead IMO. It’s hard to make the real creepiness of silent hill work in a arcade shooter. But that game seemed like it didn’t even work on like a resident evil 4 level. Just seemed average all around.
Anyways I just picked up Silent Hill Origins for the psp and loving the beginning part of this game, so far it definitely has that OG silent hill feel to it, and I’d recommend this to everyone really, that either hasn’t played Silent hill before or played any of the previous games on ps/ps2
Controls on the psp are easy to adapt to as well as with its not so great analog stick =/, but still playable on the psp :tup:
Music is perfect so far imo =D
Camera is ok for the most part from what few hours i just played
Overall i think this was a perfect transition to a handheld device from console
Definitely play this in a dark room with your speakers connected to your psp
I am playing orgins too. so far good game but its pretty much the same as all other SH games. they need to step their game up and add some more/cool shit already. running around in foggy town and spooky music is played out :xeye:
Did the value of these games increase after the movie came out or something? Considering how old they are, they are kind of expensive for what they’re going for (GameStop sells 2 for $20 used, and 3 and 4 for $30 each). The first one generally doesn’t go for anything under 30 on ebay.
I lucked out and picked up 2, 3 and 4 from the same seller on ebay who had a very cheap buy it now offer. Got all three of them on ps2 for $40 with shipping.
wow, i’m glad i wasn’t the only one who enjoyed the silent hill movie. everyone else i know hated it. i saw the clips of the silent hill arcade and although it looked interesting, it’s just not silent hill : )
It had its flaws but it was still one of, if not the, best game-to-movie translation to date. I’m really nervous now that the director has dropped out of the sequel. The second game needs to be done proper justice, if they make a $20 million shit sandwich and kill the franchise I’ll be pissed.
So I bought Silent Hill 4 when it was first released. I’m JUST NOW playing through it.

It freaked me out so bad that I got up and left the room. Similar to the first time I saw the gatekeeper drop from the ceiling in Onimusha. Dilemma time. Now I can’t go back in the living room because that scary sh** is on my tv

The eyes were following my character around. Couldn’t handle it But eventually I got over it. Even busted her in the face with a golf club a few times before I left.

I’m on my college break right now and thought i’d finally resume the SH series, the only one i’d played through was SH1 and LOVED it.
Just started playing SH2 and i don’t know if i want to continue, that constant mist combined with the shitty, FIXED camera angles is pretty lousy. That first batch of enemies were so damned annoying too, the way after you hit them they fall and take to the ground scurrying like roaches. Your character reacts/swings his stick(first weapon) so slow too that it is hard to not get hit.
