i dont see whats preventing extended versions of these type of combos when you combine fly, double jump, and unfly

The thing is, after unfly, you can’t do anything to extend anymore.

True, but you’re already going downwards. Assuming that you’ve already double jumped at this point, you no longer have any other options to extend since you can’t refly.

I don’t know if it’s a good thing or bad that they completely lowered the execution level Sentinel (and across the board). He could get similar damage output in MvC2 but with a lot stricter inputs.

Ehhhhh well we all have been told mvc2 isn’t the same as mvc3. So I don’t think this is a big shocker. I mean with this game an amazingly much more commercial game… I highly doubt they would want the level of execution anywhere near MvC2.

Look at it this way. Now scrubs have less of an excuse when they get beat by dat 50Sent.

is it really unfly though? it doesnt look like you have to cancel fly by doing qcb.E anymore, i think hitting E while in flymode cancels the fly mode for you.

Sent has rocket boots, I buy it. The real injustice was MVC2 where Captain America and Cyclops, two characters with no agility whatsoever, could double jump, whereas Spider-man, whose existence is one big double jump, could not.

am i the only one who thinks sentinel’s learning curve might be easier in this game?

From my experience with Sentinel he is a fucking monster. This character is so ridiculous it’s not even funny like every team benefits for having him on there he just counter balances a lot of weaknesses. Seems scrub friendly too because lasers are spammable and combined with assists and sent drones he can play a really mean full screen game. Has lots of issues with small characters who are rushdown base but like 1 good combo with Sent and they’re dead. He’s very fun to use I think a lot of people will be pleased with how he turned out in MVC3.

He can’t refly, fast fly, or unfly. I don’t like the motion for his command grab kept getting it out by accident on multiple occassions. Once you get use to the character this should be less of an issue.

Hi all! For both of those Sent combos, the opponent is bordering on popping out at any second due to the hit-stun degradation. I have a few variations that I’m working on, but currently (day 1 of course) I can’t get many more hits. I could definitely HSF at the end of either combo… in fact, one of them I was messing with HSF, tigerknee Air QCF+PP (forgot the name) which works. However, they bounce around and not all hits were connecting. Also, after the throw combo, I tried to do the Fly-Unfly variation and it seems the throw actually added quite a bit of hit-stun degradation making it hard to connect anything (if not impossible).

That being said, this is of course day 1 stuff. Just meant to give people ideas. I had no idea how to play him when I started messing with him (by request). Most of that stuff came after about 30-45 mins.

I keep telling people sent is godlike but no one listens Ive had the game for a while now and Im telling you that guy can do everything…
He can even kill you from his throw, air combo or command grab alot easier than the rest of the cast…
If you have a questions about him I would love to answer this guys my main and is not leaving my team ever

Aiiiiee, so he is still godlike. Not sure if I want to be disappointed or not. I like playing him, just not against him and I hate mirrior matches too : (

I guess my question is this, is he MvC2 OP, or like vanilla Sagat OP? Is he OP at all, or just really good? Lastly with no strider int he game does anyone seem good against him? Basic stuff I know lol.

I wouldnt call him op’ed yet because people on here will cry saying the games not out be his damage output with his health and his super fast wavedash/fly make him a problem… his standing C beam comes out quick and can be linked into rocket punch…
He can throw and then rocket punch you otg, he can kfc hsf do a launcher xx magic series, otg rocket punch, hsf and loop it into another rocket punch hsf in the corner followed by his other hyper… he can kill you from landing a hit no joke
