I have no clue what you mean by “heart of sentinel play” but if you played Sent in mvc2 you can see a lot of the things he had have yet to be seen or nerfed. He looks very strong sure, but these videos are hardly representative of what strong sentinel play really is. I have yet to see the insane mobility he had in mvc2, If he has no refly(which has been said was out of the game long ago) it will really hurt his pressure game and with the way AG is in this game it could be bad without a lockdown assist. We don’t how many of his normals have super armor, because we’ve only seen two with armor, and his spits do not seem to have armor on them(Ryu used Hadouken and stuffed the startup of them). His normals do not chip, which was good in mvc2. His flight does seem slower than in mvc2.
He gained a double jump(not sure what good this does him to be honest), and a faster walk speed is always good, but like was said earlier if he doesn’t have armor on all of his normals, he could be susceptible to lock down because his ground normals are not very fast. We don’t even know if he can special cancel his st.Hp and cr.HP(this is important). It’s also possible his damage isn’t as high as in mvc2 also.
I have played a build of this game, and I’m not going to list the characters that I “honestly feel” are better than Sent, because I do not know how he will stack up in this game or how the knew Sent will play. Yes his combos look good, he has a lot of health, and his damage seems good, but to say “the heart of sentinel play is untouched” is pretty foolish, especially for someone who has not played Sent in this game(probably not even any build) and probably not even in mvc2. Well, if you want to, you can go ahead and say who you think Sent is better than based off of official gameplay vids.
I’m not saying he is going to be garbage or even mediocre. I think he will still end up quite strong, but you can’t ignore what has been lost in the transition and say that he is looking or probably going to be top tier based off of these vids.
maybe Im crazy, but it didn’t look like C. Viper hit him at all. It just looks like a damn good anti air.

Seriously doubt it, what with dante and deadpool in the game, plus chun-li and ammateratsu looking ridiculously good. I doubt a lot of old marvel 2 players will even play mss, i didn’t see too many playing ms anything in the ces tourney.
