i thought so as well after playing the TGS build. iirc, some people describeed the speed as being between tvc and mvc2.
it’s possible. they’re playing the latest build. i wouldn’t be surprised if it is faster than the old build. at least, i hope it’s actually faster when the game drops.

Mango alt does not matter. People abuse the lingo in that viral video to no end now and if that alt is in the game it might make it worse. I got my all black alt back so im good.
This is contingent on what one’s definition of speed is.
IMO, The speed of the game is going to be in the frame data, things like normals not coming out during low tri-jumps stack the speed in favor of MvC2.
I played the game at SCR, and as a MvC2 player, it “feels” slower, I’m used to the majority of every normal I use coming out in 3 or less frames.
With that being said, the fastest character available to me was Iron Man. We shall see when the game drops.
Mango Sent isn’t only great because of the meme, it also looks tight. Orange and blue are my favorite colors soooooo it’s pretty obvious I want the damn alt.
I’ve seen a few people mention Sent’s flight mode being slower than in MvC2. Where did you see him use fly? I looked at all the gameplay videos and the only time I saw him fly was to do a fast fly combo.

Thanks for the heads-up, I must have missed it first time I watched that video. Anyway his fly mode still looks pretty fast all things considered, and now that everyone has perma-unfly, flying will probably still be really strong.
Then either speculate or dont say anything at all. We dont need this thread plagued with stupidness and crybabies. This is not a good excuse to be stupid.
They could have put Ultron in the game and given him a moveset that works the exact same way basically, but just made him Ultron instead of Sentinel. Same speed, barely different hitboxes on attacks, specials and supers that work the same way (except maybe not HSF which could just have been a beam super), but…just Ultron, a far more relevant character who is actually a threat in the comics and not canon-fodder.
Ultron appeals to everyone who isn’t just: “SHUT UP GET YO SHIT SPIT ON MANGO LOLOLOLOL.” Hardcore crowd doesn’t care if it’s Sentinel; just that he plays similar. Comic crowd likes Ultron over Sentinel. Casual crowd dislikes Sentinel because they got assfucked by him in Marvel 2. It’s barely any loss at all.
To the people defending Sentinel: face it, the only reason we got him over Ultron was because Capcom (Japan as a whole) knows dick about comics. Don’t believe me? Look at who is on the Marvel side for DLC currently, and the old sentai Suppaida-Man show.
