CE Bison is being used in all 3 EVO tournaments and no one is complaining. Hell CE Bison didn’t even win EVO East and EVO West.
this game is different though, there r other characters who can handle his BS…in this game its impossible to beat him.
But arent WW char’s banned for being broken?
Why can’t both players use the same WW character? Is that how that game is made, to only let one player have it at a time or a tournament rule?
you both can’t pick the same character in WW. It just isn’t possible.

Because ST characters are top tier. ST Balrog and ST Sim won tournaments…CE Bison was like 4th or 5th.

And? That means what? Even if he catches you in a block string… You’re dead. You’ve got more chance beating him with Chun-Li never mind Zangief.
The game is too new (even though it uses Alpha series), I’d say give it a couple of tournaments before a ban. Cause once you ban then you open pandora’s box for more bans. I never believed in banning anything or anyone unless they were a secret character that had to be unlocked and completely broke the game, such as Shin Akuma. Besides CE might appear broke, but against the right character and ism they can be beat. I would definetly get rid of that rule that you have stick with your character. I know some tournaments (back in the day anyways), you could only pick one or two characters when you registered and that’s the one you had to use. Don’t know if the more recent ones work like that.

I voted yes. The reason I voted yes is because, in addition to the ludicrous damage and 2 hit dizzies, the classic style characters have their own game already. HSF2 is already out there. It’s not like we’re preventing people from getting CE Bison tournament play.
Should they be banned? Not yet. After a few tournies, let’s see where it goes first. Do they have the potential for being “too” broken? Yes, they do. After all, only 12 of the 38 or so cast members can actually use this groove, which does seem like a screw up. It is like having 12 ST Akumas in the game. Sounds like a harsh comparison, but it does seem that way. Maybe they dont have air fireballs, but their damage/dizzy power is far gtreater than anyone else’s, which almost nullify’s anyone elses advantages. Tehy dont need to land a jump in, since random pokes from them do the same kind of damage as a full combo. No guard meter, so they can turtle all day long. The “increased” damage they take doesnt in anyway equalize things since they only take about 20% more than the average char.
In another month or so, everyone will stop complaining about C.E. char’s. If you ban them, you get another top tier that people will complain about as well, whining doesn’t help anything.
We just did a Hyper SFA Tourney:
7 people. Only 1 game in the entire tourney was won by a non CE character, and that was A1 Rose vs CE Ken.
I think if we have a sample tourney of the best people playing the best characers at Evo, just to prove it.
