imagine Dan beating Sagat in SF4.
I’d say it is more significant than that. I don’t entirely know MVC2 mechanics, but it seems like any team straying away from the big 4 is a much larger step than even the top and bottom of sf4.
your right…
imagine beating Sagat with Dan in SF4 and the Dan player could only use 1 hand and had a guy tickling his ears the whole match.
better?
Yea Alex Valle got his ass whooped… I’ve never seen a sakura played like that… Amazing
Sean vs Chun Li?(3s)
SF4: Dashio (Viper) vs Shiro (Abel) [at SBO 2009]
I’m biased towards shiro. That comeback in the first was crazy, but not that amazing overall. There was better one of him in the thread that didn’t make it.
TVC match was cool, but since I have no clue of how the mechanics work in the game, the ending was confusing considering he did like a 80% combo in like 8 hits to finish it. No clue what happened.
The sakura was nasty, but I feel that may have been match up issues. I don’t think Alex played a serious high level sak at the point so he was unfamiliar with the reset options that she has. Therefore, no vote.
The guile vs honda was nice, but nothing really happened.
Overall, the MvC2 match was insane. Crap tier vs broken tier… and then a epic finish.
I’ve got to say, I’m surprised Daigo was not on the list. lol, but at the same time I was not very pleased with the finalists. But I did enjoy one! The one “at TRF 12-06-2009!”
I voted VDO vs. Potter. Never give up.
Also, it’s a shame Liston/Kensou didn’t make to finals.
I though Iyo vs Daigo at Gamestop was for sure gonna make it
hard to choose =(
VDO’s last second col. comeback was nuts, the hype was crazy. <3 the kenfinite.
though watching Sabre decimating valle & gootecks with sak on the big screen LIVE @ evo pretty much made my jaw drop.
VDO vs POTTER lets GO MIDWEST!!!
my vote and props to VDO on taking the win right on the clock. he had pro tip #7 going through his blood
Pretty much VDO vs Potter was the most epic of the YEAR!!!
I went with Sabre vs. Valle.
Even though there were some crazy matches there, including the badass MVC2 comeback, it’s hard not to crap your pants over Sabre’s mixup game.
To clarify, yes, unfortunately Iyo/Daigo being 4 out of 7 disqualified it from this peticular contest. Please stay tuned for the announcement of the winning match for some previews on how next year?s contest will be improved.
My vote went to the VDO Mvc2 play which is outstanding, while the K.O. v Momochi match is second for me. Valle/Sabre is good, but it’s still SF4
VDO vs Potter fasho!
i voted for VDO
Im too lazy to do the fuckin registration unfortunately. Any true match vid connoisseur would just watch all the finalists, anyway.
I think the Shiro vs Dashio fight is great because its high level and Shiro actually saved his ultra so that it would kill Dashio in the end. He took a risk and it paid off. I like that.
