Look at where the last couple of SMT have been released. SMT 4, SMT 4 Apocalypse, Devil Survivor, the port of Soul Hackers, Strange Journey, they all are DS/3DS games. Five being on the Switch should be a surprise to no one.
im not saying 5 being on the Switch is weird im saying it being exclusive to the Switch doesn’t make sense outside of a deal as all the games that put their name on the map in the west were on Sony systems such as Persona, Digital Devil, Nocturne, etc…
Yes they put all their low res games on the 3DS but the only other handheld option where that level of graphics was acceptable was the Vita so that mystery gets solved pretty quickly.
I consider Strange Journey a better game than the Persona series. Or Soul Hackers. SMT2 as well. Just because waifuism made them big in the west doesn’t mean they are better games.
If anything, Makoto is considered best waifu. I personally liked Kawakami, but ended up romancing her, Takami, and Ann (was beaten up by Takami and Ann on Valentine’s Day). Chiyone (the fortune teller) was annoying and as a character I didn’t like her. Ichiko was just creepy, but Hifumi was pleasant.
I’m just going by what I’ve read through Google searches. My gay ass would’ve romanced Yusuke if P5 had a gay option (because Ryuji got a tad problematic overtime).
SMT series should include PVP mode, its easy to do, and with adjustable rules, easy to balance (and then the community can agree upon a set of rules as standard) .
Pokemon always has a PVP component to their mainline games.
and considering the series is turn based, it would be easy for them to add multiplayer co op too and let other players play as the demons.
