Yeah…I’m looking at you Iwai. And Ohya. Because really, Ohya is the “Confidant you spend time with when you have legit nothing else to do”. I put off Shinya/Tower more than I should have so I think he’ll wind up as the only Day Confidant I don’t max (since I doubt I can go from Rank 4 to Rank 10 in 12 days since there’s gonna be the Mementos blocking part too), even though he seems useful.
Iwai is definitely number one on my list. I started his right away.
Shinya is useful if you like to make use of guns. Getting larger ammo clips and getting damage before the start of battle.
I’m in November, so I probably won’t have time max Shinya at this point. I doubt I’ll play a NG+, but there’s always the possibility.
It’s weird, but I didn’t spend much time capturing and building up my Persona registry. In a game full so somewhat tedious things, that aspect seemed the most tedious and I had no interest in it at all.
I am currently in relationships w/ the teacher, doctor, Anne, Makoto and Hifumi though lol.
The thing is, getting Level 4 guts takes a long time, and there aren’t many things it is needed for outside of Iwai. I’d rather put the time into maxing Charm for Makoto.
I hit all max links my second time through. You get bonuses for anyone you’ve maxed out previously, so it’s much easier. Also, max out kawakami and chihaya early as possible so you can use their ability for more time and bonuses.
I only spent time with Ohya because doing so gives you Charm, and I needed charm to get into Takemi’s pants soooo…
Shinyas first ability is pretty good too. If you’ve got a fast enough finger you can take off like a quarter health from every enemy.
The amount of damage is set…just hold X, don’t mash it.
The persona registry is the easiest thing to do. Whenever you go on a dungeon run capture any persona you don’t have and fuse the ones you don’t have any need for. Trust me, you will need some fused persona for the endgame.
I didn’t have too much trouble maxing out anything - especially guts. Early in the game, I always studied at the library to get Knowledge and Guts, then whenever I didn’t have anything pressing at night, I’d just take the challenge at BBB. I’ve got all my stats maxed. Could’ve done it sooner, but I prioritized maxing out a couple contacts and working on neglected party members I never use (Haru and Yasuke).
I really liked Yusuke because of his physical counters. Counter Strike triggered way more often than 15% for me.
Also is there really even a point to using Rage? There was a sub boss during a palace that hit one of my party members with Rage, and then she attacked it for a critical of 400+ damage lol
Btw what are some of your experiences with network fusion? I gambled a Lv29 Leanan Shide and it gave me back a Lv55 Raja Naga
Rage raises atk but forces them to do normal attacks and iirc lowers acc/eva too. It’s great on enemies that rely on casting, but I definitely think it’s one of those statuses that is more of a hindrance to the player than it is for an enemy.
Also reduces physical defense significantly, I think?
yeah the damage recieved while enraged is almost like double.
Hardly ever for me. Right now, I mostly use Makoto, Morgana and Yusuke, but I didn’t use him much early on.
9/10 it fucks the enemy up too. if they don’t have reflect then I just watch as my team tears them to pieces.
The problem is even if you have a Persona that can’t be attacked physically then they’ll just destroy everyone else.
Yeah, I know what you mean on his Counters for sure. I normally use Ann, Yusuke, and Makoto, while on occasion swapping Ann out for Ryuji or Morgana if they’re strong to fire/depending on weaknesses. I pretty much never use Haru, but part of that is not much seems weak against Psy or Gun come November/December.
Yea, anyone weak to Psi, I can usually find a Persona on protag to take advantage of it.

I always get a kick out of hearing what people rename characters to. Back in HS, my best friend renamed Squall from FFVIII after himself - Larry. It was simplistically hilarious.
I made the first name Alex, but then I made the last name “Rack”.
I giggle like a fucking idiot whenever a character refers to me as “Rack-kun”
