I’m disappointed with how the twins are turning out.
They don’t seem important to the main plot like Margaret and Elizabeth before them. There were times when they would summon you without Igor around. They haven’t felt to need to reach out to the MC on their own and that sucks. They are too subservient for my liking. Also, Caroline is still a bitch.
Just started the shogi player social link. Im at end of July. Did i start it too late to have enough time to reap benefits from it?
I’m going to grind the hell of kindness now. I want whatever broken shit Futuba can provide. Double for proficiency, my most neglected stat.
I been trying to grind kindness to progress the Tae link. Shit is killin me…all stats at 3 except kindness which is 2
My kindness is already at 3. Working at the flower shop and taking care of plant in your room will boost kindness. Hanging out with Ann during Summer break will give you Kindness. Increasing my proficiency will be hell. I know making tools and working the beef bowl shop will do it but I need to do both of those in the evening. I don’t want to sacrifice my evening social links.
Levelling Airsoft Shop confidant will boost proficiency.
Also batting cages, books and games.
Been imbalancing how I spend my time. I been doing s ljnks and focused solely on charm smh… i gotta boost kindness tho. Then circle back to knowledge and guts
ooooh fuck never been so happy to see a breaking heart. if Mona didn’t have that last chance ability i absolutely wouldn’t have been able to win that DPS race. i need to fix my dam persona’s panic checking to see what has the strongest attack i realized i don’t have any heavy damage abilities and almost lost because of it.
i believe thats my 5th dungeon now and it looks like things are about to get interesting
Dude stat grinding in this game sucks. Im Aug and everything is at 3 except kindness which is at 2. Fuuuuuck. I cant even progress Makoto or Tae until I get my charm up
That’s why you should pace yourself on links and focus on getting social stats up whenever a good chance presents itself. If there are no ways to level up a stat by 3 points then do links. If there’s neither then do jobs or activities that’ll give you 2 points at least
Well I JUST got kindness to 3. So all rounded now. I do try usual good stat boosts like watching dvds, bathhouse on mon&thursday. Only time I do random stuff is if its night/day and no links are available that im interested in are available.
So far I maxed Ryuji, nurse is 7, ann is 6, makoto is 5&6, Yusuke is 3 lol. Mishima 7, and Hifumi at 3. Theres more links I wanna do but dont got time…might start the news reported lady tho. And Got the maid at 5 or 6
That’s not even the worst of it when it comes to confident progression.
Some will require you to go mementos to progress them when they reach a breaking point. This is usually around rank 8
I dont mind that since I go to Mementos once Im done with each dungeon
Yeah IMO those are never really a problem since Mementos quests don’t seem to expire, so it’s simple to let em stack and just do em all at once

Tbh I was balancing better at the start. I should be good tho. Im in Aug now with all 3s. When I got free time. I do s. Links during the day and stats at night unless been more manageable since I can focus better
I’m in September with 4 charm, 3 knowledge, guts and kindness and 2 proficiency. I spend my time developing my confidants other than anything. I only set time for sets when most of my confidants are unavailable.
Good game, finished it last night - around level 70ish, and just over 125 hours played (probably at least 10 of that from leaving my system on). Got all social stats maxed pretty easily, and most confidantes.
Not sure about if there are good/neutral/bad endings etc (this is my first Persona but I’ve read they are prominent throughout the series), but after so many hours I probably will never find out for myself. I’ll definitely get around to playing Persona 4 Golden finally since I’ve had it on Vita since it was on sale for $10 sometime last year. I’ve always heard good things about the series and just slept on it for too long, I guess.
Ending / Choices spoilers:
[details=Spoiler]The ending that I got was that I get out of jail and Sojiro picks me up, then I meet up with the squad at LeBlanc. The next day they pick me up from the station and say they’ll drop me home and we ride off into the sunset, free at last, I guess.
I didn’t rat out my squad (snitches get stitches), and I didn’t join fraud Igor/The Holy Grail at the end.
I chose to go on both dates (Christmas and Valentines) with Kawakami, but for Valentines I had Takemi and Hifumi show up at the crib and beat the shit out of me for cheating on them. Oops? Guess I had too many romance links.
I completed all requests except for the ones that are tied to the social links I didn’t complete. I didn’t bother with Ohya, Chechnya (or whatever the fortune teller girl’s name is), and I’m not sure who else has requests that I might have missed. Not sure if completing all requests affects the ending, but I did complete a whole pile of stuff way down at the bottom of Mementos…

Anyway, good times with the game. The “Beneath the Mask” song has been stuck in my head for two weeks, especially the rain version. The music in the game was above average, but that song always especially sticks out.
I wanna click that ending choice that so bad but dont wanna be spoiled. I heard in this game’s case theres 2 bad endings and a good one I think? And my friend said you’ll know if you got the bad ending because he said the endings are literally bad as in they suck.
But glad you enjoyed man! Im past midway in Sept. i think if I can get my shit together I can max out more links and what not. Enjoy Persona 4. Think you’ll def like the OST for that one more than 5
Sidenote: if anyone opens the ending spoiler tag, can you tell me if its hella spoilery? I know the choice for p3 ending isnt too spoilery, and on top of that you can reload save after that ending, its what I did.

Apparently what I got was the good/true ending. FYI Drelly it’s pretty spoilery when you consider what happens towards the end of the game (again, can’t say much for fear of character spoilers…), but here’s the thing: Honestly, I think the good ending sucks anyway (at least the ending cut scene and post-credits scene), and is probably the worst part of the game. 
Now that I’ve looked up the other endings, I think the bad ending was the most impactful, and would have been an interesting way to end the game. I would have missed out on some fun fights though. The true final boss was a particularly fun, active fight. I beat it first try, but thankfully I had some Persona with appropriate builds, since there were certainly some “oh shit” moments.
Looking forward to P4G (and the soundtrack!)
