Yes. It was kind of annoying to see a bar running out every time I had to make a choice but seeing the choices float around your head vividly and then disappear after a few seconds is cool lol.
I found the hill 5 minutes after my last post.

Really? You think its an immersive experience BEFORE being science fiction or an action rpg? I’m not saying it isn’t an immersive game, I just don’t think its that weird to expect either action or sci-fi from something that is supposed to be like it. Alpha Protocol looks like mass effect meets splinter cell for example.
It looks like Shenmue meets Silent Hill or something.
I’m going to have to try the demo before I judge the game.
Dude I don’t get it, wtf is the game about? lol I watched the intro on youtube but it just looks like a fucking (amazing, btw) town with a bunch of kids running around. So you’re some guy, and you can just do whatever the fuck you want to do? lol
Links on my OP should answer all your questions.
Not exactly, you play 4 different characters, all trying to track down a serial killer called the Origami killer. Each character has a reason to be tied to him (either being a detective, or possibly having a child be the victim), and you basically try to solve the murders and track him down to bring him to justice.
Each of the characters have different motives, point of views, methods, etc. And if you fuck up bad enough, you can get those characters killed, only the game continues on because there are 3 more characters you can keep playing with. You just miss out on the rest of that view of the story. And your decisions are supposed to have an impact on the story as a whole, though how it all plays out has yet to be seen. Maybe accusing somebody of being the killer prematurely causes the wrong person to be killed or something, it will be interesting to see just how many different directions it can go.
Pleasssssssssse sell well give Quantic Dream teh monies.
DAMN! that shit sounds tight. I’m going to pick this up lol.
I didn’t want to say it, but yeah, this game really is a lot like Shenmue. It lacks sailors though.
SEGA will kill you!!!..someday.
edit: I posted before seeing your user title:lol:
It was at 96 with 4 reviews on metacritic now it’s at 90 with 30 still good.
IGN gave it a pretty good review:

Anybody try out the demo today? I liked it. Played through a few times to see what all I could do
i just tried the demo. so far so good. i beat the crap outta johnny already but now i’m trying to shake more info out of Lauren
I played the demo. The game is alright. Not something I would buy for 60 bucks, but if I saw it in a bargain bin I’d snatch it up pretty quick.
This game was on the front page of yesterday’s Times supplement magazine, which is pretty unprecedented for a videogame.
Definitely thinking this is going to be a game-changer. Ultra-hyped for tommorow, trading in Bayonetta to get this one!!
Can someone tell me how this game is anything like Shenmue? Besides the quick time events.
This game comes out tomorrow? Shit.
sometime next week depending on where you are. i think we in europe don’t get it until friday actually. but SOON!
who got this game so far?
so far i’m really enjoying it. it gets a bit slow at times, but so far so good.
I have a friend who beat it, and he tells me it’s an interactive movie. He felt like he had no freedom in the game. I felt the same way after playing the demo. He also mentions the ending kinda sucks. This game is really nothing like Shenmue other than it’s QTE like decision making system. I think Jae Hoon put it in the best way:
