Sup everyone, while playing around with BnB ideas I stumbled upon the fact that Iron Man can do the same TAC hit with no exchange seen in the recently posted doom swag video. I haven’t had time to play with the idea yet, so I figured many heads were better than one. Here’s the notation and video (starts at 00:15):
Can someone explain to me the technical reason why the game won’t let you do c.M, s.H after juggling the opponent downward from an air to air combo? Its not a hitstun issue, because the c.M, S, air series, spike connects without a hitch. I always just thought it was really weird.
So what are the inputs for Tony’s up,down,side tacs (the ones with bombs for optimized damage?) I’m going to a local and they don’t allow any infinites or combos resembling infinites so my 5% damage scaling dante infinites are useless and the iron man infinites I’ve been grinding out are also useless. Thanks guys in advance.
I’m converting from pad to stick for tournament purposes ( I have ps3 and my locals have Xbox) and decided to learn by picking up tony to help me get acclimated due to his high execution swagnificent combos. Anyways after Playing with him and studying his matches he seems to be a ground zoner and an air to air rush down character ( at least this is how I notice that I get hits the most).
Here are my two questions:
1- would an anti air assist help iron man, with the thought that ironman can follow up with an air to air/ air to ground combo?
2 what do you do against opponents who like to stay right underneath you when you are in the ai and they are grounded?
Its there on page six, The guy who posted them is named “its_chuby”, so just look for his post ( it should be HIS second post on the page). Yeah I was also looking for tac combos and stuff and it took me a while to find them… In fact I have page 6 saved on my phone for quick reference to those+ the infinite combos+ the air to air hit confirm combos. It’s one of the most useful pages IMO for people looking to pick up tony quickly

I don’t know how you would even enforce that rule, it sounds super autistic and Smash Bros Brawly to me. Who’s to say instead of just looping the airdash loop in the infinite you just Repulsor Blast them down and kill them that way? Then its not an infinite just a really long combo.
If they really wanted to go full on Smash Boards they should have just disallowed TACs. It would still be fucking retarded but at least it would make more sense.
Well I’m assuming the setup for the infinites. You usually need to add or get to a relative low point to start them. That was my guess on how they gauged it.
