Whats the best combo to do after a midscreen repulsar without the spread? I’ve been trying out cr.m, st.h, launcher, but can’t find a real optimal combo. I’m doing this because repulsar blast spread midscreen seems to be hard to followup from. What does everyone else do?
I’ve also been trying the 3 repulsar blast loop with the same similar combo into proton cannon, which only does about 500k but it’s kinda flashy
From my experience, always spread, it’s damn near impossible to perfectly predict where that repulsar is going to leave them and followups are inconsistent and not much more damaging than a raw proton cannon off the spread. You can also very easily kill by X-factoring the spread, and a level 3 off the spread still leaves you hitstun to relaunch. If you don’t have any meter being at full screen with Iron Man is just what you want anyway, and you get a really long time to set up your assist call anyway.

The krispy kreme for me will always be viable though because it works from such a far range out, and I don’t think this new combo does the same? I do feel though that the new combo you posted will be good in the corner after like say a close range overhead, and it’s got tons of swag!
the falling hit is J. M which hit extremely low to the ground. I should also point out that the is with the network set at 4 green bars not 5. I don’t understand why people say that this can’t performed from the same distance as KK. Now compare the combos. you’ll notice after the the smart bomb in bloodbeast the damage is 535,700k and mines is 540,700k. No need to unfly because you’re using the j.S which is more damage than the J.H. It’s a little more simplified than KK with more damage in my opinion. The unfly makes or breaks KK. Also Ironman is probably the most heaviest character in UMVC3.

Yeah I’m working on a corner throw combo that breaks 1 million. It will require a dhc but I’ve got it to 962,000k
Here is another reason to use KK over everything, you can hit confirm off ALMOST max range of Iron Man’s c.M, which is his best normal IMO due to the range and speed, in case you needed another one on top of the existing 6000.

Yeah I know but I also like using that one because if you miss IM is still safe afterwards. But I get what people were saying about KK.
I’m gonna talk about air throws for a sec. Off any height air throw confirm, I’ve started to ADDF down next to them, and depending on how close or far, I do different things:
close: L Smart Bombs, c.M, s.H, S, j.M, j.M, j.dH, j.H, S, H Smart xxx Bomb Proton Cannon, standard stuff
far (or still close enough for L Smart Bombs to hit but not c.M,s.H, S directly afterwards): L Smart Bombs, c.M, s.H, xx Fly, j.M, j.M, j.dH, unfly H, j.M, j.M, j.dH, S, c.M, s.H xx L Unibeam xx Proton Cannon/Iron Avenger
For the second one, its kind of like a mini krispy kreme. HSD makes it impossible to do the full thing at that range, so I just opt for the smaller combo I posted.
I don’t use the air L Smart Bombs now anymore, I feel like these are superior and much more consistent
I don’t know why you are still trying to convince everyone to use KK. Each combo has their pros and their cons its up to the player to decide which on to use. If they get blown up for getting cr.m S blocked its on team. If they get blown up for dropping the unfly h then its on them.

As I mentioned a while back I have pretty much mastered the KK combo. What would be the next most important thing to learn with Iron Man?
I find my self using Repulsar a lot in fights as it kills jump ins and more or less safely covers my assists. I am looking into combos off Repulsar at the moment. Anything other suggestions on what to tackle next with IM is welcome.
In the corner you can reluanch with smartbombs, outside of the corner you can level 3 into combo or x factor into combo, both of which are shown in my newest video. Always spread, learning combos off raw repulsar no spread is bad because it’s inconsistent and the damage is quite poor anyways, even going straight into proton cannon is better than not doing spread.
Most important thing with ironman above all else is spacing your repulsars, and utilizing ADD as a tool to control space, he’s a very reactionary character and learning crazy rushdown tricks is just a fancy way to lose.
