I just finished learning the KK combo and wanted to let you know that this post really helped me out a lot. Thanks for breaking the combo apart like this.

Took me about 3 days at about an 1 hour a day. Just a heads up if you are trying to learn this an struggling, practice makes perfect!

Unibeam can be punished on block in most situations up close by light attacks, need to train myself to confirm into c.H in blockstrings, which is +4.

cr.h will get mashed out hard.

They can mash through 5H chained into 2H?

s.H, c.H or s.H, c.H xx flight in a blockstring should be safe though?

And yes I’m talking chaining s.H to c.H on block instead of unibeam.

If you can really mash through that that’s fucking balls.

I could be wrong but I think dependent on distance they can punish if they push block the st.h. Also oftentimes st.h will whiff after a push blocked cr.m and going into unibeam is the safest way to fix that. I’m sure it’s good sometimes though.

I’d say canceling st.H (whiff or hit) into fly is your best bet. If you get a hit while your opponent is in the air you can easily confirm it into KK otherwise if it gets blocked you’re safe. What do I know though.

EDIT: Just tested out the st.H xx cr.H blockstring; you actually can’t mash through it.

EDIT2: Also, I’m more than sure Iron Man’s best corner combo (sans assists) is cr.M, st.H, S, j.H, j.d+H, ADD, j.H, land, j.H, j.d+H, j.S, L Smart Bombs, cr.M, S, j.M, j.M, j.H, j.d+H, j.S, H Smart Bombs xx Super.

Does a little over 35,000 more than the KK (if you start with cr.M, st.H xx fly)

In all seriousness thanks for doing that, I do think c.H has some utility for counter hit setups but I need to test it more myself.

No they can’t mash out of it. I tested it awhile back with ammy who has the fastest jab in the game and she can’t beat it so yeah.

So after grinding it out in the lab on my stream (thanks to a viewer) I was able to finally break 800k (getting at 872k) using krispy kream with drones and hyper grav assist. Man this combo is so fucking good.

Anything I should learn next guys?

So I was in training mode looking for hit confirms off stray j.H…and they basically don’t exist. The ones that do involve an ADDF which is incredibly inconsistent at best. Its so frustrating that one of this character’s best assets is his normals and he can’t even convert off them that easily.

I can do basic variations of everything but can’t find anything to carry them down the ground for a relaunch that isn’t the one that has ADDF and is wonky as hell.

j.H, j.dH ADD j.H and then going for two jump loops seems like the most consistent so far.

H addf H, fly j.mdh, add, h, unfly h repulsar blast has been working for me.

which repulsor blast are you doing? lately i’ve been doin :m: repulsor and that shit works like ez mode

I always just do l, and I guess my edits didnt work but i meant addf instead of add, although add works to depending on distance. I don’t really have a set confirm I kind of just bring them down by intuition, never under estimate how much hitstun unfly h gives you to land and repulsar. For the most part though as I’ve said in the past, if they are in the air you don’t want to be.

I never though of using Repulsar. It makes so much sense now because as long as you can get close to the ground you can catch them with Repulsar, and even follow it up well if you are close to the corner.

What’s the optimal ground throw combo for Iron Man sans assists? Granted you get the throw into the corner.

I just do KK starting from cr.l, you can also do it from l smart bomb into st.h. There’s better stuff with missile that Duck posted a while back if I remember correctly but it all does the same damage anyway.
