Sharpening my claws.. Vega(Claw) Wants/Needs

Hmm my SSFIV wishlist for vega…

  1. Make his c.lp 3 frames startup instead of 4. and a +2 frames on block instead of +1.

Just this alone is good enough to push vega to be a much better contender vs other characters.

I can agree with this… It will definitely boost his stats…

A c.lk with 3 frames of start up and a c.lp with chain property would be better.
And i want to be able to use c.Hp as a good anti-air.

Vega doesn’t feel like a character who should have chains.

JUST FOR SHITS AND GIGGLES

Here is my formula for an over powered claw:

  1. 3 frame chainable c.short
  2. Air Throw starts up quicker
  3. Jump leaves ground sooner
  4. cl.s.fierce, c.strong becomes a 2 frame link instead of 1
  5. c. strong, EX FBA never wiffs
  6. EX SHC has instant projectile invulnerability. Projectile invulnerability doesn’t end until Claw stands after entire animation.
  7. EX FBA quicker startup
  8. EX FBA to your own wall invulnerable on startup
  9. Ultra does 585 damage with mask and claw. 600 with claw but no mask.
  10. Dizzy tolerance gets significantly higher (bc he’s a fucking ninja. Ninja’s don’t get dizzy.)
  11. KKK Flip instant invulnerability. PPP flip goes back FARTHER. Much farther, making it difficult to punish.
  12. A Crossup
  13. Ultra is Invulnerable on startup
  14. It is possible to combo into super (drop version)
  15. s.forward, s.fierce, c.roundhouse all recover faster
  16. All RCF’s move faster across the screen
  17. A MUCH better hitbox on scarlet terror. One that actually works defensively.
  18. More hit stun on neutral jumping MK
  19. LK ST, EX ST, EX FBA becomes a combo
  20. More damage on FBA strike
  21. Very few recovery frames on an empty FBA… you know, just for feints…
  22. A few more taunts where Vega laughs
  23. More chip damage on Ultra
  24. SIGNIFICANTLY higher damage on Super - strike version
  25. FBA’s make contact with the wall higher up.
  26. Claw’s second ultra can be combo’ed into as reliably as Ryu and Rufus can hit theirs.
  27. POM leaves ground sooner. Also, it’s an overhead.

1.Remvoe mask & claw should be scrapped
2.just a tad bit more priority
3.mercury should be faster
4.Be nice to give him his ST special
5.make his ultra,activate on the ground too not just off the wall.He could start off the ground, then go back & forth off the wall.

Other then that,vega is pretty fun as he is,what game hasn’t his mask and claw came off in?.The izuna drop has never been an easy move to land…well atleast not for me.I Belive putting more range on that,people will start to abuse how easy it is to land.

tbh I would be happy if it wouldn’t whiff on so many ops. Why can’t I hit Ryu with j.hp cr.mk cr.mp EX FBA? It sucks!

Claw toss is alright, as long as you don’t do it by mistake. Mask toss needs to be fixed or removed, though. 1/2 super gauge just to remove it and put it back on? Nonsense.

fixing his EX Wall Dive into Izuna Drop in the corners would be #1 on my list.

They should at least give him super armor on his EX FBA until he touch the wall i hate getting hit before i reach the wall.

It’s solely for the purpose of being a huge insult to your opponent. Don’t read too much into it. (blah blah resets the block count too blah blah)

I’m not much of a serious player, esp. of Vega, but I think

*The roll should have faster start up.
*The df+mk move, that actually hits a crouching opponent in the head from above, should be, you know, an overhead.
*Ultra 1 should maybe have 3 distinct trajectories, and it chooses the one that would work best? Not literal “homing”, but not having to be at such a specific range for it to hit.
*I’m not too familiar with his supers form previous games, but maybe ultra 2 could be a roll/flipkick thing? I’m assuming this will be the case so they are both different from each other in appearance and use.
*Make the thrown claw/mask hit the opponent for luls

Yeah, the obvious stuff from pg1.

I hope he’s alot better in super, because he’s a real fun character to play.

*Super does not trigger until grab, and there is only the throw, getting the attack does not blow super.
*flipkick back to super turbo or A3 goodness.
*rolling crystal flash not april fools joke slow
*make slide more safe, and improve useless normals.
*Speed up wall dive, way too slow currently

Vega can still win now with his pretty good regular pokes, but he should be made much stronger, closer to the monster he is in hd remix and super turbo.
