Lol, that’s what my list of Vega changes consists of. Oh, and slightly more throw range for Izuna. Not really huge like ST…just enough to make it a little more viable.
Don’t forget making EX Rolling Crystal Flash do something besides suck.

I second the more range on Izuna and faster startup for RCF.
I also hope his second Ultra is more useful than his current one, something like Red Impact or Ultra Scarlet Terror.
i do hope his current ultra is just easier, or possible to land in this installment. also like i said in another thread, it would be cool if they added an izuna drop at the end of his ultra. it would make the ultra much more exciting to see.

i say for an ultra he should have it as a scarlet terror instead of the dive claw…that way the ultra could connect in better ways then his old one does and maybe up his defense a bit…then he be pretty nice

Man too many and I mean toooooo many “make my character better” threads. Yes Vega kinda suck but enough ranting about it. I think Capcom knows and will certainly do something about it. Just be patient. I main Gief and i’m not gonna complain about Gief’s weaknesses. If you play Vega correctly and in a smart way he’s good!!

I like his Ultra, but I’d rather if there more/better(?) ways to utilize and/or combo into it.

Any positive tweak added to Vega would be welcome but I kind of think Capcom wants to keep him low-tier. I’m fine with that but it was like they went out of their way to nerf him this time around.
Scarlet terror is alright imo, it could be better but the good players know when to apply it. Giving this move juggling potential or invuln frames would probably move him up in the rankings. Right now, I use it the same way Rose uses her AA throw command. It’d be cool to juggle someone into EX walldive with it.
Getting to the wall should either be faster OR you could give EX wall-dive a little bit of invuln on start-up.
Claw Throw move should smack your opponent on the head to do like 10 dmg as it would be hilarious to pull off a victory in that manner. Or just cut the Claw throw from the list, but keep mask throw(perhaps reduce cost for throw to one EX bar). Let the claw be knocked off naturally like in the old games.
4)Losing mask should have equal risk/reward ratio. Something along the lines of take 10% more damage/Deal 10% more damage. I’d even settle for 15%/10%.*
*If claw throw is removed in suggestion #3 then they can keep the risk/reward ratio as it is now. (whatever it is)
Faster start-up on RCF Strong only to open new combo potential. Light and fierce are fine where they are now. EX Roll should have as many hits as fierce but fixed with the new faster time on Strong Roll.
EX Sky High Claw goes through Blanka roll! Even the playing field with this matchup. I can handle most other characters pretty well but my specials never seem to work on Blanka since they either trade or just plain out lose.
I love his super…but my bread and butter does 315 damage at the cost of only one EX bar. His super does only 330 max and can be easily avoided. More damage on this would give players an incentive to throw it out more often. 350-390 is reasonable, 400-450 might be pushing it.
Piece of Mercury should be an overhead.
Alternatively, Capcom can take the easy way out: just up his damage/priority and forget about any of these suggestions.
I don’t expect all of these to be tweaked but I’d be satisfied if even one of them was taken up right now.
One way to fix the ultra would be to make it like his ex wall dive in that it hits on the way up, except with invincibility.
He needs a special with invincibility, Scarlet Terror was good in ST so giving it similar properties would probably be fine since safejumping it should still be possible.
Actually his HK and EX have 4f startup so bringing that up to 6 would probably be a fair trade for invincibility.
RCF would need faster startup, it would be nice with shortened chargetime too.
The mask/claw coming off penalties has got to go.
