Sharpening my claws.. Vega(Claw) Wants/Needs

His rolling attack is garbage
Ultra sucks
His medium kick special sucks
He sucks in general

Only valid reasons for change will be accepted here mate, not ignorance.
And crouching fierce should be a claw stab in the air, similar to Akuma’s crouching fierce (range would make more sense, too) with better frame advantage. As it stands now, it’s * almost* impossible to use effectively.

Only T. Hawk, Juri and Deejay were playable at the New York Fight Club, so I imagine only Guy, Cody and Adon will be playable in the Vegas Fight Club build.

Vega needs a way to control the space directly above his head. Neutral jump rh kinda works but not well enough… doesn’t necessarily need to be crouch fierce. Crouch fierce is a nice move to combo into for some sweet damage and stun.
Sagat’s close strong and Abel’s close fierce both own everything above their heads. Maybe Vega’s close strong could become a move like that because it is otherwise useless

I would actually prefer if one of Vegas’ standing normals became a better directly-above-his-head anti air. Promotes mobility.

Piece of Mercury could be this, if the hit box appears as soon as his foot is raised. That would make it’s startup much faster and make it a good antiair.

I really dont know where i stand with claw anymore, part of me really wants to go back to the days where he was a fucking beast, but then again i really enjoy playing as vega in SF4.

I actually started using Claw for the first time ever in SFIV (tried him around release time, and couldn’t stop). I can’t even use him properly in any other game. :rofl:/:sweat:

I think it would be really crazy if they made his Normal and EX Izuna drops likehis SUPER Izuna just imagine lol spamming Izuna drops all day :looney:

My SSFIV dream combo for Vega is jump in fierce to cr. jab >> cr. short xx light SC >> EX SC >> wall bounce >> df.hk. xx EX Izuna.

It’s a bit much, of course.

My dream combo for Vanilla SF4 would have been (something xx RCF xx Level 2 FA > Dash> Ultra).

No real reason why this shouldn’t work in this game. Scaling would have made it just around a cool 400-500 damage depending on mask and claw. Perfect.

In short, I think Vega should at least be able to get a Level 2 Focus attack after canceling RCF without it being counter hit.

I don’t care if you works off counter hit and some stupid 1 frame junk. XP

I always do this in practice, hoping the EX FBA would connect :rolleyes:

just give him old dive control and walking speed. and please can he have less of a shit throw recovery =/

its a bit much for the shit engine in sf4, you might actually need some skill in dedication to win if the combos had some length and technicality to them.

Claw knocks you in the air once, as you fall he knocks you back up, and as you fall again he grabs you and dunks you on your head…

Come on man, make it LK ST, EX ST, EX FBA…

C;aw knocks you in air, you fall, get hit back in the air, you fall, get knee-knocked back in the air, then head dunked… then… of course, Claw taunts.

I actually realized yesterday that you can use piece of mercury to hop over crouched opponents. maybe cosmic heel too. but i’ll have to check.
