seriously it’s really hard to know at this point… just judging by the videos and her closest iteration SFxT…

she can seriously be anywhere from Chun Li to Vega to Gen to Fei Long…

it really depends on how safe her normals/specials are gonna be (I’m assuming just from the looks… it’s not safe)

if she’s got a good block/whiff punish game that can be combo to her specials with a solid defense… (highly unlikely) then she can be as good as Fei Long… however i have a feeling she’s probably gonna be a hit and run type of character…

February CANNOT come sooner. I already know I’m picking up Elena and am using Rose right now to sort of practice for her.

IMO I think she will be an overall balanced character. Only thing she won’t have is a command grab and fireball

Going off SFxT. I cab assume this.

All her punch buttons are reliable AA. It will only get beat if the opponents have a jump in like kings jump forward :hp:

Her DP will probably be a good AA

Good reaching limbs.

Throw range is good (going off sf3e)

Will be able to corner you faster if she can still combo into rhino horn

Can continuously get chip damage because her specials are relatively safe from any normal accept for DP. DP recovers fast might be tricky to punish at first.

High/low game will be better than Dudleys. Maybe

Healing super will be so cheap lol. 30 seconds left does super get the life lead back and more now your opponent has to come in

Fireball characters won’t be a problem for her. That slide has stupid range and ex rhinos horn.

Both ultras will probably be viable

Only thing that will hold Her back is a floaty jump, damage output and stamina. Also grapplers and you can’t randomly do hey specials because they are easy to react to

You think Elena is going to live up to the high/low mixup characters architect? I hope so.

I hope I find her fun to use in USF4. I like her fighting style cause it reminds me of a B-girl type style with the dancing moves. I tried using her in 3rd Strike, but I just couldn’t get into her. I might go back and give it another shot.

I haven’t played her in SFxT but she was real fun in 3s. I wonder if she will have “Healing”? In 3s after a knockdown I’d try to run away and Heal…she’d say “healing!!!” though I usually got hit by a combo against competent players taking away most of that recovered health. If she is indeed a great high/low mix up character I may pick her up in Ultra. I’m a fan of that character type.

Yeah I’m with ya. I’ll be interested to see what kind of recovery it gives her…healing being ultra selectable is a shock for sure. It’s like you said, I had expected it to be something where you are rewarded healing by saving the bar, which is likely not easy. Now she is a major threat. Fataldmg is really hyping her up. She sounds very good, can’t wait!

I know I’m late but her back HK also beat Shoto low forward.

Anywho, not liking reports on floaty jumps but her walk speed looks fine. Par for the course of SF4 characters. I’m not surprised that her SRK is better but it blows my mind that they give her Healing as her 2nd Ultra. Moreso when you factor the Double Ultra mechanic. I’m going to assume she has a terrible backdash.

Does she have her 3S target combos? Guessing that there’s no kara-throw which was a huge part of her game in 3S. Happy to hear about the fast overheads though.

I think she has the same command normals and target combos she had in SFxT.

I can testify that her ex mallet smash is fast. The other versions are easy to.react.to. Guess combo wasmy kidding when he said she is a low/high mix up monster. All version of MS seems really fast now. Now please keep that insane hit stun/block stun that MS creates and I’ll be happy. Also seems like Ms goes over crouchers still. You will have to space it so it doesn’t go over. Floaty jump is fine.by.me sic. I don’t jump much either. I wonder if her slide still has that insane range and goes under fireballs. She will be the death of all shotos lol
