SFXT: Online Tournament Series - Bi-Weeklies!

Well SimSim at least we got two people for a Europe based tournament. I have friends from Canada and America on my friends list and I have good connections with them so I would be up for playing with NA just might have to have a lag test first maybe? I’ll leave the details to whoever organises.

Are we going to allow 1v2, 2v2, and 1v1 in this tournament?

I’d be so down for a PSN version

My body is ready.

Sure I like this idea

Hmm… interesting question. My thoughts on that are to try it out for the first one, and then see how it goes from there. Could be quite interesting.

Thoughts?

i’m down with that. Money Inc hitting the network and rocking people’s face off =D

I’m with roknin, and then we tighten things up as we go along.

You’re money inc from the nyc 25th tourney?? If so, I was rooting a lot for you, good showing man!

personally I am done with sfxt, since I am playing afew other games right now and dont have time to play/wait till its fixed, but its still possible for sfxt to live if people would show up to major’s and locals I mean I think it needs at least 30-40 players at locals and 200 or more for majors

yup, that was me. ^^;;;
thanks. I hope it was entertaining to watch. I swear sometimes my matches go to the wire and are so close. I really don’t mean them to be that way but somehow it just ends up that way. Btw beating team Rufus/chun, best feeling ever >=D

So let me see if we have this straight for now.

  1. No Assist gems or vitality gems, cross assault and pandora extender gems are allowed.
  2. Bi-Weekly, and Top 8 will be recorded for posterity.
  3. Done by region or region free?
  4. 1v1, 2v2, 2v1 are all good?
  5. People hosting lobbies are responsible for enforcing the rules and recording results.
  6. If match is unplayable, coin flip to decide winner?

Anything with a question mark is because I’m not too clear yet what the we’ve all agreed on yet.

  1. Correct
  2. Partially correct, I will have to work out a way to record. I don’t have anything to do that with RIGHT NOW. Very possible in the future though.
  3. USA only preferably, others allowed with great connections.
  4. 1v1 preferably
  5. Correct
  6. This is what I suggest, does not have to nesc be that way.

Again, everything is still up for discussion but those are my suggested rules.

I’m sure if you ask nicely Jibbo would be cool with recording a top 8 for now for the 360 version. As for the PSN version, yeah I’m not too sure.

>doesn’t want the game to die
>is hosting an online tournament

Lol good job pointing out the irony of the sxt communities situation. The worse part is that for a large portion of us, the frivolous amout of hate this game has recieved has PUSHED the to play online as their major source of competion. Myself included. I cant convince people to pay the game in my area seriously, rather than drop the game all together I decided to play online and support it that way. Nice observation though :////////////////

Hilarious thread name.

Now back to business, what do guys think of doing the first tournament this weekend? Are the rules ok with everyone? How many should we be expecting? The answers and more on the next episode of dragon ball z…

Well kinda on top and not on topic
First a shameless promotion for my youtube channel.
After you watch this vid you should def subscribe. I have an idea to revive the game a bit which i’ll talk about in a sec.

Neeeeeext
Besides a tourney series…uh anyway wanna try to do as how like max’s and excellent adventures.
Pretty much I go online and have a special guest player and we just go nuts online playing ppl and doing challenges. trying to spice it up.
Or it could be a variety show wherein we talk about the game. play people who are in a room. I dunno indulge me people.

so what is the way we are going to decide on which system to run it on??
