SFxT General Discussion Thread rev.B

Correlation, causation, etc.

:expressionless:

Missing the point.
When someone uses a particular line of reasoning to try and disprove something, no matter how dumb, my first response is to use the same line of reasoning to prove further.
He thinks we’re being too hard on Capcom as far as Gems and DLC goes, and he thinks we’re overreacting, even though SF as a franchise is famous for it, and is still one of Capcom’s biggest franchises, which is not really grounds for argument, one side is assuming based on hope, another, based on history, neither side can be sure.
Then, to try and disprove my DLC-and-expansions-is-not-just-business rant on Tekken’s huge success with a lack of it, uses the history of Namco’s love for DLC, which, as stated before, was long before Tekken 6 came out loaded with nothing but a full game with all content intact, to try and guess that TTT2 will be loaded with DLC.

Simply put, he’s a hypocrite.
And he’s not even good at it.

When in doubt, Fanservice DLC. Sell sell sell. Chun li and Poison(like she needs one) in Bikini do it.

Or you know just get the PC version.

Ono is pleased to announce Flesh Pit Juri.

I care, and so a lot of people. Sure, a brand new disc “just because” of Relius and another rebalance (CSII barely lasted, and was thriving into a solid metagame) is pretty meh. People aren’t just vocal as we here, that’s why. So that’s actually a thing that the “Capcom-people” has over the rest, for better or worse.

People just complain more about Capcom because of the company’s recent ways of handling re-releases and DLC - which were way more often than regarding other companies. IMO, outside of re-releases and unlock-codes for “DLC” characters, everything is fine: costumes and color palettes are just a cool bonus to have.

The bigger the company the more people complain. SIMPLE

I’d rather have capcom give us characters and balance updates via DLC than forcing us to go out to gamestop or whatever to shell out 40 dollars for like 5 things.

I just hope they let the game grow for a while before even considering updating it.

I don’t need another MK9.

Marvel 3 also applies to this, they announced the ultimate version only a few months after vanilla was released when we still weren’t even close to knowing the actual potentials of the cast members and were still learning new things about the game every day.

Yeah. Though I love Ultimate, I just wish they’d leave the game alone for a while longer, lots of potential tech there that was overshadowed by the derpness of the top characters.

@Jamp- What do you mean with mentioning MK9?

I’m pretty sure he’s talking about the constant balance updates that have been added to the game and some of the updates were being released even though the game had only just been out for a very short time.

Haven’t been to these forums in a while. Did I miss any teaser pics or anything?

Apart from a teaser pic of Asuka, it’s mostly just been “Gems are Outrageous” and “Cashcom wants our money.” Oh, and Color Edit mode.

I’m not concerned about patch updates as they are not frequent in Capcom games so I doubt it will get as bad as MK9.

That one was a bit justified though. Capcom has a limited time with the Marvel liscence so if they wanted to do an update, they had a very small time frame to do it.

The point being, Blazblue doesn’t have the audience any more to receive the same outcry.
But at the same time, Blazblue is never filled with on-disc DLC and the releases are more spread out.

And Lupinko leaking(?) a few characters here and there.

I miss the old days where you could…oh I dont know unlock characters in games…

those where the days…
