Tekken Tag 2 changed that up. Leo speaks German, Christie and Eddie speak Portuguese, Lili speaks French, etc. some still speak Japanese like Alisa and Ling.
I wanna see Chun-Li speak Mandarin. I like it that she looks more Asian. The mukkokuseki in some of the SF characters gets irritating after a while. Like I still can’t tell what Viper is.

But American isn’t an ethnicity, but we’re getting off topic. I can excuse certain characters not speaking their native languages. Lei’s in Interpol and Ling has been in Japan for a couple of years. If it can be justified plot wise, I’m fine with them speaking some other language.

No, its just his move names he’s saying that you’ve heard. The VA does actually put on a french accent though.
No, I’m pretty sure what I heard was the fight intro being spoken in french.

Lars, according to his T6PSP’s backstory, grew on Europe - actually working into Tekken Force’s European division until shit started to grow worldwide. Alisa is also “Russian”.
Dragunov actually isn’t a mute - he clearly “speaks” if you play with him in some Scenario Campaign levels - but since everything is text-based, we’re yet to hear his voice.
I’m actually hoping there’s an option to hear Lili’s (and others of course) voice in English in TTT2 when it hits consoles, although I doubt it. 
I LOVE her voice.
But yeah, I’d expect everyone to speak their native language in TxSF. Makes sense.
