Just going off what I see on the screen shots, I imagine this will be similiar to Forza’s paint mode. You select say for example, Nina has 3 camo colors on her outfit, you select camo 1 and it’ll pull up a batch of swatches to choose from, now in Forza you do have the abilitiy to adjust further with brightness, hue & saturation – I don’t think capcom really needs to go that far. Goodness knows I don’t want to play a bunch of neon-over-saturated characters because people have ZERO understanding of Color theory.

Well they did make examples… I’m sure we are all smart enough to make matching costumes that look cool. I think capcom will give us a base set of stuff and then sell the rest. Imo it sounds fair.

Call me crazy but I think these swap costumes will be unlocks in game, Capcom aren’t stupid, they’ve seen the reaction to Mortal Kombat 9 and they want to give this game a similar amount of content. Also in the past Capcom have been very clear about what stuff was DLC or not and there has been no mention of DLC for these costumes. I would say they’re costumes you can unlock in shops for points along with fanart/trailers etc and maybe even some characters.
I think that Capcom will still sell alternate costumes in addition to these swap costumes, swap costumes + character customization is just an answer to Tekken’s character customization. They have plenty of normal alternate costumes that will provide them with a goldmine in DLC. Alpha Chun Li and Cammy, Tekken Tag 2 Yoshi etc.
There’s no way they’ll not do alternate costumes… but you have no reason to complain about them since you’ll have a lot of options to edit your characters with customization + swap costumes.
Thousands? Aren’t you overplaying Mika’s small fanbase? I mean srk and otakus must be the only place who think Mika would be more hype and played than Boxer or some other character who has real popularity with tournament and casual players. All Mika would do would be another Haggar situation where a small minority creates hype and bandwagon ppl jump on until they realize she’s trash and drop her… and unlike Haggar she wouldn’t have a cheap assist to give her a reason to be played.

Trust me, she has gotten thousands of requests, most definitely moreso than Hugo (Though I am incredibly happy he’s in) and most of the current Tekken choices.
Yes, I would rather they forget about her, I don’t want to be teased with costumes for months and then give us a Kuma Costume, I don’t want her costume to be anyone’s alt, period.
